Amazing View

This is a Must !!!! The views are amazing. We watched while the fog started to roll in and it was just breathtaking.

Went up for sunset photos, returned for dawn photos, and returned yet again to see the shuttle fly past. In addition to the views there are historic forts and other places to visit as you head down to the west coast & Rodeo Beach.

There are some very nice restaurants to while a few hours away and plenty of art and antique shops to part you from you money. A less expensive option the frozen yoghurt and ice cream stores (of which there are many) delicious

This was the best scenic view I ever had! We stopped by on our way back to San Francisco from a wine country. Our driver from Green Hills Wine Tours took us up there and we were so amazed!

The Marin Headlands is a fascinating place to explore. I first explored the bunkers in the late 60's. Now one can have a tour of Nike Missile Site SF-88-L, ride on the elevator holding onto the Nike into the magazine containing several missiles. Our guide was terrific.

This is THE place to go and get the perfect shot of the GG Bridge, the Bay, the city of San Francisco. The trick is...WHEN to go! The weather is so crazy, especially in summer, in terms of when it's foggy and when it's not, you may have to allow a few tries in your schedule to get the shot... More

Great view of the Golden Gate Bridge from here. There are also nice walking paths, and a World War II bunker.

Our driver took us to the highest parking place. It was a bit too far and also the line of sight on the bridge wasn't great. Would have done better on one of the first two lookouts, I believe.

Don't miss the opportunity to see this! Iconic views of the beautiful bay, ocean, San Francisco skyline. The day I visited there was a thick layer of fog covering the lower half of the G.G. bridge - and only the top was visable w/San Francisco in the background....add to that the spooky sound of fog horns from the ships below....
