In the 6 weeks of travelling this beautiful country and 1 week of being on his extraordinary island we have never experienced such fraudulent behaviour. Upon arrival we were charged 30 euro for 2 umbrellas accompanied by 4 lounge chairs. The price of the sets was not the problem, it was the fluctuation in rate of the sets depending on the GNI per capita of where you come from! Judging by your accent or language you speak, you are being charged ‘accordingly’ by the attendant charging these sets. This English family of 4 in front of us was only charged 23 euros due to quote on quote ‘they come to the island more’ and locals receive a lessened rate due to the standard of living in Greece. If this was the case, a standard flat rate should be implemented. It is not the money that is the problem, it is the notion that no one should be charged in accordance with their ethnicity. This is coming from a second generation Greek Australian.

We came here as a family of 3, on july 27 2022. We payed 14 euros for 3 sunbeds and an umbrella in the front row. So we could keep an eye on things when we were in the water. We came 16:30, when tourists leave and the locals arrive. At 20:30 we were leaving and I noticed that my dress, that I hung on the umbrella to get more shade, was gone. As in stolen. The personell working at the beach helped me look for it, but it was not found anywhere. I went back two days later, and they still could not find it. I had to walk back to the hotel in my wet bikini, as I could not take the bus without clothes. Iphones, visacard and cash were not stolen.
I have never experienced anything like this on my 5 trips to Crete, or in any other country. Loving Crete a little less after this.
If you see a big woman in a deep green 100% viscose dress from Dressvoice-its mine! My advice would be to bring your worst clothes to this beach.

This beach has two bars one at each end . There are lifeguards, changing facilities. The toilets are old fashioned, the key is kept at the bar. This too is a child friendly beach.

Clear turquoise water and sandy bottom. You can walk out quite a ways before it gets deep. Not a lot of shade so best to rent lounges and umbrella.

Nice and shallow beach. Only one little kiosk to buy drinks.
There are two old toilets, where is only a hole in the floor. You have to pick a key from the kiosk. Not very hygienic in these covid days.
