    Austin 7 Club Visit
Superb tour round the Lifeboat Station, our two tour guides, Ruth and Ann, both were dedicated to the RNLI, their knowledge was phenomenal, most of our group live within the local area but had never been for a visit, there was much humour, but we all understood the serious message and the work carried out by the RNLI. These two lovely ladies gave up their evening to facilitate this brilliant tour. We were all amazed at the wonderful work the dedicated volunteers do, from boat crew, shore crew, to the guides. We have supported the RNLI for a number of years and will continue. Thank you ones again to these wonderful ladies for an inspiring evening !

    Great time
We were passing and originally came to the beach with our son. We were welcomed by two very friendly ladies Ruth and Danni. Ruth gave my family a 1:1 tour and the tour was very informative and interactive to keep our busy 5 year old entertained. I would highly recommend a visit here and if you can give a donation to such a great cause. We had a great time and have been informed that they are having a family day in august that we will come to.

    Thank you Ruth and Ann
What a fantastic evening we had being shown around the Shoreham Lifeboat Station when the Austin Seven Owners Club visited. Our guides, Ruth and Ann, were brilliant. They brought humour to the tour and made it all so interesting. Our 90 minute tour ended up taking 2 hours which was great. If you get Ruth and Ann as your guides you will not be disappointed. Thank you

    Really informative tour by Dany
Picked the perfect day to visit this awe-inspiring RNLI lifeboat station. One of the visitor centre volunteers, Dany very kindly showed my son and I around the active lifeboat station, first looking at the crew rooms and the D class lifeboat, which we saw launch on exercise. Dany then took us upstairs to see the Tamar all weather lifeboat. So much history and technical information was passed over in a really fun and interesting way. I never knew that lifeboats still carried a blue and a white oar - a nod to past boats and their crews. Do you know why though? Loads of photos and model lifeboats to see too. The shop was well stocked and had really pleasant staff. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area. I only popped in to ask where a safe place to paddleboard was, but ended up staying well over an hour! Many thanks.
Hi John. We are so pleased to here that you enjoyed your tour of our wonderful Lifeboat station, and what a stroke of luck seeing the Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) launch. I'm also very pleased to here that you enjoyed Dany showing you around. Please do come and visit us again you are always welcome.

    Excellent afternoon
I visited with my two granddaughters today and we were shown around by volunteer Emma. Emma was brilliant, she knew exactly how much information to give to the girls , she was also great at encouraging questions and giving age appropriate answers. The gift shop had a good selection of items to purchase . The girls said that Emma was ‘really, really nice ‘ and that they had a ‘good time’ . I have visited on previous occasions several years ago with other grandchildren and I never fail to be impressed by the dedication of the volunteers there.

Pumpkins and Lifeboat’s - great fun for children and very informative for adults.
Southwick RNLI arranged a fabulous Pumpkin hunt in the lifeboat station. Lots of children looking for the pumpkins 🎃 and interesting for Adults too. We had a great look at the lifeboats and a very informative talk about the RNLI. The activity was very well organised and welcoming.

    A special experience
Great tour of the lifeboat station on a wet and blustery day. Special thanks to David for being so helpful and making it such fun for our two grandchildren - they haven’t stopped talking about it! From learning all about the history of the station to dressing up in their own wet weather gear it was a special day for all of us! Thank you for all for what you do and keeping us safe on the water…
