See you childhood in a museum!

A long time since I went, but a lot of fun. Lots of toys I had a as a child on display, and I even donated a number of my old toys that were in good condition.

This toy museum being part of the castle, is worth going to visit. It is fantastic, there are so many toys etc to look at.

Visited today after the castle. Probably spent about half an hour in the museum. Lots and lots of old toys, big and small. Our 9-year-old and 6-year-old really enjoyed looking at everything. Not many labels, but for us, this was fine. It was fun just to point out toys we used to have and for the kids to see how... More

This is one persons personal collection and they have a huge amount of different toys & memorabilia all packed into an old house so steps, stairs & narrow walkways. Because of this it is not really accessible for prams & wheelchairs... (we left one adult downstairs with the babies & the other went upstairs with the children). Obviously nothing of... More

This has all the toys from your childhood for a trip down memory lane or just great toys collected over decades for your children to enjoy

There was at least enough stuff to fill two museums this size, one on military history and one full of toys. Collections need more curating, labelling and better conditions. Hot day made me wonder how long some things would last?

Lots to discover, something for everybody from young to old. Nearly too much to take in, great added bonus after the Mountfitchet Castle.

I only live about a 20 minute drive from this museum yet had no idea it even existed. We were visiting the castle and so were pleased to discover that we got two attractions for the price of one (or three if you count the dinosaurs!). To get both attractions on the one ticket is brilliant value and it's worth... More
