About
A classic country local, The Five Bells has served the villagers of Seal, near Sevenoaks, since the early 18th century. It’s a characterful ale house with cosy low ceilings - and a crackling fire that provides a warm welcome in winter. The bar serves an excellent selection of lagers and ales from Britain's oldest brewer, Kent’s own Shepherd Neame

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped at the 5 Bells after a local business meeting.
We were given a lovely friendly welcome and they kindly opened the kitchen to let us enjoy some lunch.
It was so nice to be in a traditional village pub and be made so welcome.

Popped in with some friends for a quiet evening drink. Friendly people, well kept ale and a nice glass of wine.

The Five Bells is a small pub hidden behind the Main Road through Seal. The pub has a real traditional feel - small bar, dartboard, friendly locals and a choice of three very well kept real ales to choose from. I enjoyed my lunchtime visit for a quick pint.

A lovely location and lovely village. Shame that it's mostly dominated by builders.....
It needs a good renovation and change of target market. Would make a massive difference if you made the local village families feel welcome.
