I never write negative reviews, this place could be geat but really needs to lift its game. Firstly, having read the reviews was excited to book, despite the previous bug comment. But how? No booking link anywhere on site and no mention of how often the tours go. So I whatsapped and then eventually received all my answers, very piecemeal and unprofessionally, ie times of tour etc. Tour is short but informative but there was one main issue. The bugs. At no point were we warned about the small biting bugs, they were everywhere but not that we saw at the cafe starting point. One person left the tour after 10 mins, one person was bitten badly on the face. I thought I was fine until when I left. At least 40 bites on each leg and to be honest totally ruined the last 7 days of our Colombia trip. Too painful to sit in sun on beach trip and had to stay inside at night as could not apply bug spray as too stinging. We saw bug spray for sale on way out. Why do they not recommend this to be applied before tour and provide for free? Why do they not recommend long sleeves/trousers. All totally avoidable, you can sense my pain! On the plus side. We enjoyed our 40min walk from and to Salento, a good day out, the cafe sold good cake and our guide Cristhian was super friendly and good fun. This could and should be a 5 star experience.

Christian was a great guide, perfect command of English and gave great information about the coffee production process, having worked in it himself previously. Tour concluded with a well earned espresso, after only talking about coffee. Duration of the tour was also perfect, around 1hr.

Had an amazing coffee tour at las acacias. A 45 min walk outside of the city you can find this tranquil place. Our guide Natalia was wonderful, not only was her English great but she knew so much and could answer all our questions throughly.
You get information about how the machinery at this small scale family run farm works, but also about coffee plants production in general. We also got an presentation of different filtering methods, and talked a little bit of coffee culture in Colombia. It was really interesting and I feel like I learned a lot. At the end you get to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax. The tour was affordable as well, 20000COP, highly recommend to visit this place!

We had a great tour and amazing coffee at Las Acasias. Not to mention the bird watching is spectacular! The guide was informative and made sure to answer all our questions about all aspects of coffee production.

Definitely wear bug cream, as there are innumerable tiny mosquitos. If you forget, they have some very good bug cream for sale (and it worked very well! I'm usually a magnet for biting insects, and I didn't get a single bite, while others around me were covered in itchy bumps). That's the only word of caution for this tour.

Amazing level of detail given on the English speaking tour by Natalia, as well as nice dry humor thrown in. They actually have you pick ripe beans, hull them, and see every part of the process, even starting with how they are grown from beans. We have been on a coffee "tour" before on a Caribbean island, but that was so much more limited in the scope of information. You then get to have a cup of their delicious coffee and the method and flavor you like (milk, sugar...). The tour was at least an hour, and then we sat and visited with others on our tout for almost another hour!

Wonderful authentic coffee finca tour in a small family owned farm. Jonathan gave a great informative tour in Spanish and English. Our kids loved the experience of picking their own berries. Grounds were gorgeous and we’d recommend to anyone who interested in a personalized experience. Coffee before and after the tour was fantastic as well!

Jose was a great guide, very informative and witty. It was fascinating to see the hard work that goes into the process. And not to mention a great cup of coffee at the end of it! Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed this tour only 12COP and worth it. Christian was a great guide and spoke English very well. Was nice to visit a local family owned Farm. I would recommend this tour. We walked from town about 2 miles (downhill) and took a Willy back into town. Tour is only about an hour. A good find!

This tour has been recommended in out hostel and also by a traveller we have met in Medellín. We wanted to make the tour in spanish and after the arrival from Salento, we had to wait for the tour! They have offered us a good coffee and we have enjoyed watching the birds, chickens and the roosters! Jose our guide did an excellent job! Also the group with 4 people was ideal! He explained it very well, but also the other fruits and flowers they were growing! The picking of the coffee fruits was a good experience. The process was presented in a very good and explaining way. The good coffee at the end of the tour we have enjoyed even more than before! Now, as we know, what hard work and what long period it takes for having a cup of coffee.
Thanks a lot!
