- Savina KMontenegro7 contributionsprobably one of the best beaches in Montenegro (BTW Montenegro is not famous with beaches)This is quite a long beach with a pebbled and sandy section (sand is rarity in Montenegro)!!! Set of 2 sunbeds and umbrella is 15 euro, but that is common for the bigger part of the beaches in Montenegro. Parking is big and is free!!! Water is crystal clear!!!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 September 2023
- rosemummy75 contributionsNice beach. Come home skint! Its a big shingle beach with loads of loungers/brollies. It's expensive though. €10 each per lounger and the same again for 30 mins on the inflatables each. There's jet skis etc available, plenty of bars and refreshments too. €1 per toilet visit which is extortionate and unfair. Water is clean, parking is free but came away €100 lighter for the 4 of us....we got there dead early too which is something you should aim to do.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 August 2024
- Tammy B42 contributionsBest beach, head leftAs others have said, walk left from the beach bars. Go past poseidon and around the corner. Lovely pebble beach and uncrowded. Take your own towel and you can purchase a parasol from nearby stall behind Jedro beach bar for 10€ Take insulated metal water bottles and suncream for a cheap day outVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 23 August 2024
- Vesper35Bucharest, Romania189 contributionsVery nice for an organized beachIf you like super organized beaches, this is the one to go. Clean, the sunbeds are comfortable and not as expensive as in other places, 20 eur per set, wooden alleys to the water although the pebbles don’t bother so much. There is a large playground in the water, so the kids love it, also different water sports facilities, lots of restaurants, cafes and free large accessible parking space. But in high season it tends to get very crowded, so if you into more quieter beaches you should look for other placesVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 September 2024

Don’t even think about visiting this beach during the summer! It’s packed with people, not even space for children to play in the sand. The boardwalk has garbage next to overflowing trash cans. The restaurants all serve the same food. There is no place for a long morning walk. The only good time to be out on the beach is after 7 pm because the crowds have gone home.

I have to say, some of the positive reviews for this beach must be from people who have never been to a normal beach in their life. This is extremely crowded, terribly set up beach. The sunbeds and umbrellas are so close to each other, I can practically caress the chest of totally unknown people next to me. The beach itself is not even pebbled, it is practically stones and walking around barefoot is impossible. If you happen to be older of have a disability, forget about even getting to the water. The 2-3 area in the water where one can actually enter without shoes are packed with children. The parking is incredibly disorganized. There are no decent changing rooms and the toilets are paid even for people who rent sunbeds. The only plus was the clean water.

Depending on the area you want to stay it eather will be crowded or not that much people. The guys here who are complaining here that it was crowded are the ones who went to the middle of the beach where most of the people stay.
There are plenty of space on the beach and you can choose wheter you go to the middle or stay on the edge of the beach where are less people and the water is brighter than in the middle.

Jaz has a quiet nudist part, but you dont have to be nude, just polite and carefree. The water here is clean and the rocks are wild.
Horizontala restaurant is the best place for breakfast. Rock music and excellent service.

Great pricing, great staff and overall great vibes! Crystal clear water and it’s very clean. Regular changes of the flag. I’ve been going there for a few days in a row with my family and it has not disappointed. Would recommend.

Small pebbles, umbrellas, deck chairs, wooden paths to not burn the soles ...
Cafeterias along the beach where has some of natural shade.
There is also a scuba camp where diving schools from the region are coming for training and the first deep dive for beginners.
There is a scuba camping where diving school from the region coming for training and the first deep dive for beginners.
At the left end of beach is a group of villas with holiday apartments for rent.
That part of the beach is rocky and more interesting than the rest and was called Poseidon (and in fact, is part of the same beach).
Accommodation here is quite good, by some friends who have stayed here and they are picky enough so you can trust their judgment.
How to get there
From exit from Budva intersection on the main road to the beach Jaz has 5.5 km (drive towards Tivat, it's good marked).
It's a ten minute drive but in the top season can be much longer.
Direction is good because after the Jaz beach you have two more, Trsteno and Ploce, so if you do not like Jaz, ride further.

Jaz beach is a complete mess is you don't know where to go. No one wants to be around hundreds and hundreds of tourists and surrounded by all those sunbeds. The easiest thing is to just keep walking past all the sunbeds and people and just go left... After a 10 to 15 minute walk you will pass a generic beach bar and just around the corner is a quaint beach bar with a small beach. This is the best kept secret of Jaz.

Hi,
Is it possible to get a bus from Kotor to Jaz Beach?
Thanks

Restaurants/Tavernas ...
Roughly how many places are there to eat on Jaz beach? Are they open at night too please?
Written 6 June 2019
There are several places open along the boardwalk, maybe 4 or 5, though only a couple open by 8-9am, so you should have no problem. I don't know about night time, you can ask there, but it's a VERY short drive to Budva and there is a cliffside dining spot halfway there, and Budva has MANY dining spots on the old town castle wall on the walkway towards the beach, many with torches burning and outdoor seating, very beautiful and romantic. There is no place to stay on Ploce (jaz) beach, so not sure why you worry about night dining there.

How much are taxis to Budva and how can I ensure we are not ripped off?
I presume the Hotel (Poseidon)will arrange one for us going into town, it’s the rerun that concerns me,
In saying that I wasn’t four days of relaxation by the sea, with a book! So will visit Budva once in the day and once at night and that’s it.
Written 10 December 2017
Hi Sally, Well, the price of a Taxi varies depending on the season and the taxi company you retain. That said, the most common fare is about 1 Euro per km. Any more than that I would consider a ripoff. If you have a choice, engage the "Happy Taxi" company, their rates seem to be the most fair in and around Budva. If your starting point is Jaz Beach and your timing allows, another option is the bus that that goes from Jaz Beach to Budva for 1 Euro - the best deal you will find. Hope this helps!.

Can someone tell us the real situation with WI FI in hotel Poseidon please?
And what is about the food? We would like to go there for 3-4 weeks in September (family with 3 kids) but now we have the doubts regarding food there. Whether are vegetables and fruits in restaurant there, especially for breakfast and dinner? Such country as Montenegro and no fruits for children? Difficult to believe....

If you still waiting for the bus to encourage you - yes, it's possible.
But perhaps, a long time ago had arrived.
