Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is most surprising that a place like bhisma kund is not at all developed. This is the place where bhisma was lying on a bed of arrows. Pond is extremely dirty hence you can't take a bath though some sites say that to take a bath out here removes your skin problems. On the overall I like to say that all temples in kurukshetra needs proper development by the government. Except for brahma sarovar and bhadrakali temple everything is undeveloped which is really sad. Bhisma kund and temple should have been properly developed which is not a case to be. No public transport hence you have to take a private auto which charges you rs 600 for 11 places and in this 11 places sheikh chilli museum and panorama and sri Krishna not included. After seeing 11 places you can get down at panorama and as sheikh chilli museum is very near to Sthaneshwar mahadev temple you can always bargain with auto to show you sheikh chilli museum also

The place in itself doesnt have much to show. Just a kund (pond) and a temple. And yes a gau shala in the quiet premise. You will feel nice but nothing much to see. If you hold the episode of Bhishma Pitamah lying on arrows and arjuna's taking out ganga for him important, do visit

It is said that Bhisma felt thirsty whily lying on the "Mrityu Shaiyya" , Arjuna then shot an arrow in the earth and a stream of water came out which satisfied quenched of Bhisma. There is a small temple with idols of Bhishma lying on the death bed and all the pandavs along side. Also, you can still see the kund close to this temple which has bee renovated recently. A small place but important religious site.

This is the place where the great Pitamaha lie on the bed of arrows shot by Arjuna during the Mahabharata war. The kund as such is not well maintained. The approach to the location is good.

It is located on the Thanesar-Jyotisar road near village Narkatali. Here you can see Bhishma Temple and a big idol of Hanumanji. At the final stages of epic Mahabharat battle Arjuna arrowed Bhishma and grounded him on the bed of arrows. Arjuna had made the Ganges erupt at this point to quench the thirst of Bhishma on his final days.

Visited Bhishma Kund while on a short day trip to kurkshetra. This place has historical significance for being the place where Bhishma Pitama was give final water when he was lying on arrow bed
This site is well maintained by authorities and since it does not see much tourist, a nice place to visit and relax as well

This is a pond where Arjuna had made it by an arrow to quence the thirst of Bhisma Pitamah when he was on arrow bed. Along side there is temple which shows the same. And outside of this there is huge idol of Lord Hanuman.

This place has a great legendary history. The kund (pond) is not clean, a lady fell on the slippery steps in front of us. The temple has some historic points written only on hindi so others do not understand. There is no one to guide about the temple for new visitors.

This site is one of the places where most of the visitors or the pilgrims visit in Kurukshetra. It has a very beautiful, peaceful and overwhelming vibe to it. You can spend time watching other people with so much faith and dedication here coming from different parts of the world
