Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited for the first time today with my son to watch 'Joker', as it is on our doorstep. Received a very friendly welcome, and was shown around the cinema before the film started. It seats 63 people, very clean and the chairs were really comfy, and a decent sized screen too. As it was a special price of only £5 a ticket today, it was excellent value to watch a great film. I would not hesitate to visit again and pay full price of £8 with free parking around town, and maybe have some refreshments next time too. Highly recommend.

Just been at the red carpet event for the newly released James Bond film at The Orbit and it was FANTASTIC! The staff at The Wellington Orbit had gone to so much trouble and it really paid off. The attention to detail was so worth all that effort - casino chips, cocktail bar, staff all dressed up, even had the little themed cake toppers on the cocktails. The cinema was spectacularly clean (as were the toilets) and the refreshments available were very reasonably priced. So impressed with this little cinema - there were 6 of us in our group and everyone felt the same. Top marks, 5 stars, can't say enough good things about this place - try it yourself and see. Highly recommend a visit. Worth every single penny.

Went to see "Living" on a meercat 2 for 1 evening. The pre adverts/trailers lasted 30 minutes. Now I know cinemas make money from showing adverts but 30 minutes is a bit too long. Was the 30 minutes because it was a meercat evening?
When I book my ticket for the Iranian Film on 3rd Dec and there's only a handful of audience members.....will I still have to sit through 30 minutes of adverts.Give me a clue🤔Persevere with the foreign films and boycott whatever the local council suggest for free films for over 60s.They have no taste.

Hi Julie. Thanks for your review. The ad lengths are actually out of our control. The ad packages are provided for the film by external distributors and vary in length based on the rating and newness of the film which we are required to run before it.
We have recently ran our own promotional video prior to this which would have increased the total length which will be short term but appreciate your comments.
In regards to film choice, we aim to serve everyone in the community by showing a varied film programme of many different genres. The free over 60s event you mention was in fact a booking made by the council and not something we selected.
We hope to see you for the magic of cinema again in the near future.

Lovely cinema, went to dress to impress latest James Bond "No time to die" red carpet event.
Smart well dressed staff, photos taken outside and in with a great martini shaken not stirred.
Almost like a private show, small 30 seat capacity, many people dressed up, ladies beautiful long gowns, gents dinner suits.
Give it a go well worth the price, free parking, support your local cinema.

Have been meaning to support the Orbit for a while and we were not disappointed. Arrived to a friendly welcome from the volunteers. Good selection of snacks and drinks to choose from before going in to watch the film.
Very comfy seats and view - really enjoyed our first time at the Orbit and we will continue to visit as just on our doorstep. Would encourage others in the community to visit it is well worth it. Thanks to the volunteers too.

Went to Harry Potter Thursday. A most for Harry Potter fans who came suitably dressed, as where the friendly staff and volunteers.
Comfortable seats with everyone suitably socially distanced.
A lovely treat in these difficult times and a way to support local business.
Throughly recommend, only wish we had been to the showing of the other HP films this was the last one in the series.

Really enjoyed being able to take my young son to the cinema on my doorstep during half term, just like I did in Wellington as a child! Loved the double seats, they're great for sitting with a smaller child as well as with your partner. Great selection in the cafe available with wonderful staff,as well as a friendly feel to the cafe itself. We will definitely be returning.

Visited for the first time with my son today for the Peppa Pig anniversary. Lovely little cinema, very comfy seats and very well priced. My son loved it so much we're booked to return next weekend. Didn't use the cafe on this occasion but was busy and the menu looks really good.

This is a really lovely place to visit. Staff are welcoming and the facilities are lovely. Food and drinks are high quality and it's great to be able to sip a glass of wine whilst enjoying a film.
I'm looking forward to returning as soon as lock down allows.

We visited the cafe section of The Orbit. It was busy with a nice atmosphere. We only ordered hot drinks, which came quickly & we were served by a friendly young man. We all enjoyed our drinks, although the flat white wasn’t great, sorry!
An enjoyable visit though, & we did take a cake away which was wonderful.
