We are a family run (4th generation) boutique wine producer in the Great Southern wine region, which uses 100% estate fruit for our 5 star rated wines by James Halliday. We have a cellar door which is open Friday to Monday 10:00am to 5:00pm. Our vines range from 20 to 32 years old.

Attached to our cellar door is our café which is also open Friday to Monday 10:00am to 5:00pm. We use fresh local regional produce in our café along with fresh produce from our culinary garden which we welcome you to explore.

We welcome you to come and explore what we have to offer. We look forward to showcasing our premium wines and lovely food.

What a gorgeous, peaceful paradise this winery is. Not only do they produce probably the tastiest rose in Aus...their reds are delightful as well. This is a family run botique winery. .in a stunning valley setting. I had to return a second time to buy some more wine, as it is delicious. A hidden gem just before you enter Mt... More

Another hidden delight in the great southern. Such a wonderful region to visit and no where near as commercialized as Margaret River. Gilbert's is a family run business that provides friendly service, excellent food and very good quality wine. A lot of the cakes are home made and coffee is excellent. Great lunch menu with good quality food. Drop in... More

We went to Albany for the weekend to celebrate our good friends 43 wedding anniversary. My wife and I wanted to do something very nice for our friends on the way home and Gilberts was recommended to us. Well what a surprise. The winery looks just like a couple of old houses from off Albany Highway, gravel drive, more fruit... More

This is a lovely place to stop at while travelling on the Albany Hwy to and from Albany. The place is really charming, with a comforting fire in winter, among trees, beautiful views from the windows, and a nice outdoor area for nice days. The food is simple but very fresh and tasty, home made, perfect for lunch, morning/afternoon teas... More

My partner's father recommended this winery. He grew up in Mount Barker and then onward to Margaret River. On our way to Albany, we stopped in for lunch. We were told that they had a function on but they were doing sharing platters. (I hate sharing.) However, blimey, this platter was a little ripper - yummy bread, great beetroot dip,... More

We came a while ago during a weekend intended to have lunch but they were full. This time we are the second table throughout our lunch in Saturday of the Australia Day long weekend. Overall the food is OK despite the staff took a wrong food order. And the main confusion was the wine by the glass. We just ordered... More

Although the area and views are nice enough, the general thoughts of the meals were, average. Nothing special. Service was good as was the wine. With an area filled with pub style meals (steak sandwich, soup, and steak) something a bit different would be nice.
