Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tree is centrally located close to the Prince Erekle castle so easy to find. The tree should be 900 years old. It is already completely hollowed from inside and one wonder hoe it still survives. Not to completely fall apart its upper branches are tied together by steel ropes. Interesting, especially for those who like selfies.

Not sure how long was the contour of this tree, but I took mike at least 2 minutes to walk around it. I believe we would need at least 15 people to hug it. The tree sits close to the center, 2 steps away from the Batonis-Tsikhe Fortress, what makes it easily accessible. Its beauty is almost shadowed by the panoramic view of the valley that lies behind him, great spot to take some souvenir photos to take back home.

You cannot avoid seeing this tree ; it sits pretty much in the center of Telavi, close to the Castle of King Erekle. Stop for the compulsory selfie, then go and see something exciting.

There is a nice bar next to the faint plane, we sat with great views to the distance and watched groups of tourists coming and wrapping there arms around the tree trunk to see how many it would take to reach around.
A surprising number of people visit this tree which is supposed to be over 900 years old.
Great landmark.

Although its trunk is hollowed showing that this tree is somehow “sick”, it still resist over the years!

I visited in November.
Its just an average site with unusual huge circumference tree.
The tree area is now occupied by street dogs, not a wow place but good for a passing by visit.
Must visit is the ndikvari park located few meters away from this site.
It has a good cafe and view from it is stunning.
