Although the climb too and from the lagoon is not for the feint hearted it is definitely worth it. The climb its pretty tough going even being relatively fit, with the ropes being caked in mud meaning they were pretty slippery. With it being so tough to get to it does mean you may find yourself, like us, being the... More

We spent a total of 4 weeks in Railay this year. It's pretty much the best place on earth. We waited for a few dry days to do the viewpoint/lagoon and never got them. So the last day I said, "f#@$ it we're doing it anyway!" We did the viewpoint pretty easily (if you're cool with slippery, muddy, dirty trekking)... More

If you like using your body, inconvenient "roads" and getting dirty, this is a must! Loved it so much, this is what vacation should be like. Bring shoes with good grip, clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and some water. The climb might be a bit scary if you're not used to climbing, but it's probably more scary than its... More

On the east side of Railay close to the rock climbing and on the way to Phra Nang Beach near the monkeys you will see a rope up an almost sheer muddy path. This is the start of the steep climb to The Lagoon.Ince you reach the top,10 minute climb, you can either go left to a viewpoint with great views of... If your not looking for a rope hanging off the mountain you will walk right by the path , like we did . There are ropes to help you climb but it is a climb . The mountain is part clay mud so expect to get dirty and your clothes ruined . At the top to the left is the... More

After reading reviews I was a little sceptical, I'm not the fittest person by any means and a little afraid of heights to. After seeing the start I wasn't even sure if I was going to make it up there but its honestly not as bad as it looks. I'd advise wearing trainers and not birkenstocks like I did however... More

Me and my partner had a fun time doing this hike/climb and a must do if you are fit and confident about doing some thing alittle risky. Things to bare in mind do not go if just rained or raining Have shoes not flip flops. And be careful dont go alone. Also go at high tide otherwise there wont be... More

To hike here is fun and a bit challenging. The lagoon is really silent and beautiful. Great place to combine with the viewpoint over Railay. Remember to bring a lot of water. Thailand is hot.

Although this is a 'free' activity - after seeing that some experience was required we hired a local rock climbing guide to help us and loan us the correct equipment to repel down some of the harder sections. It had been raining hard for 2 days and the climb was hard from a novice point of view. BUT very enjoyable... More
