Beach was beautiful and getting there was very simple - longboat from krabi. We got a return trip including hotel pick up for 300 baht from a local vender. Stunning views on the beach and sea kayaking available. We found the restaurants more expensive than...More

Interesting place, only access is by boat. Few thing to look at and do. Nice way to spend half a day when relaying.

It was once a beautiful beach. Now it's overbuilt, over commercialized with hordes og people even in the low season. Surroundings are still magnificent though.

Beautiful and escapistic, a mesmerizing experience, this beach makes you soft so paradisic is it! Unless you like bouldering..

This is perhaps the best beach in Krabi. The crowd the hotels the cafes everything is amazing. The beach has a lot of activities as well.

Railay beach is a lovely spot for sunbathing, relaxing and taking some nice photos. There are plenty of places to buy cheap drinks and food. You'll see lots of tiny crabs on the sand! It really is a gorgeous beach and a must visit when...More

Stayed at Railay West. My favorite time was from 4pm onwards when it wasn't too hot. Great stretch of the beach, nice sand. Amazing sunset view. Railay West is also where you can start your canoeing activities. Not the best place to swim because there...More

I am thinking of doing a short half day visit from Ao Nang. I however read that the only way there is by long tail boat. My group includes a pregnant woman, elderly woman and toddler. Will it be too difficult for them to handle and should I visit other places instead?

The seas generally pretty flat. unless there's a storm due. you could watch the weather reports and make your mind up then. there's life jackets on the long tail boats. your could charter it private then you can go atvyiurs... More

Hi, Dan from Toronto here. My husband and i are going to Railey Beach the end of October of this year. It will be our 1st time in Asia. We are staying at the Rayavadee in Railey. (beyond our 'normal' price for a hotel but it just looks so awesome in the photos and extremely excited) . My guestion is do you recommend we take the tour you recommend if we are staying at what appears to be one of the nicer islands? And i like to hike up one of the mountains for a view of the harbour but i'm not interested at all in a hike which is close to mountain climbing - which is pretty much what i can find online and thats way out of our comfort zone and neither of us are interested in that extreme. thank you for your post warm regards, Dan

The climb to the viewpoint is very steep, almost 80 degrees or more. I did it on the spur of the moment in flipflops! The view is spectacular - you could see both East and West Railey. Dangerous climb over rocky terrain and... More
