Just like the sailors of old, you’d recognize this Venetian island by the picturesque pastel-colored houses and buildings visible from its shores. Burano also is famous for its intimate lace, an art its people want to keep alive.

Burano is the perfect island. Hop on a vaporetto from Venice and 45 minutes later soak up the atmosphere. Picture perfect houses and shops, peaceful and full of character. Treat yourself and spend the day here.

Nice half day trip out. Here there are lots of lace shops, a few restaurants, and a vineyard. Famous for its coloured houses. Nice to soak up the sun on another island.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to and well worth a half day visit if you are in Venice. Really didn't seem much to do here but walking through the squares and along the canals all lined with colourful houses...More

I'm certanly glad our tour included Burano. It's just so pretty with all the lovely pastel coloured buildings. The waters ways were inviting you to amble and drink in the sights. The quaint shops, especially the lace shops held such intriguing works. Much quieter than...More

This place came highly recommended to visit, a bit too highly in my opinion. Yes of course it's nice but not a place to visit before departing this earth. Rows and rows of nicely painted houses, lots of restaurants and many, many tourists. Nice to...More

Burano has a different feel than Venice. It feels a little bit more quaint and has the added attraction of all of the lace work that is handmade in stores there as well as the glass that you will see handmade on the island of...More

Easily accessible from Venice by waterboat/ferry. Definitely worth a visit, the colours are magical, and make for some great photography too. Plenty of little eateries, speciality fish dishes, fab pizza and worth investigating Burano lace, masters at work :)

Picturesque, no doubt, but not worth the time it takes getting there. A couple of colourful canals and that's it. Save your time

Imagine visiting an off the beaten track island close to the action... that is Burano. An island gem away from Venice, but so quiet and serene that it's worth the trip. The colorful and bright decor will be a memory. Just Go!

Hello, the vaporetto schedule can be found on the actv site. I can't seem to post the link here. For F. Nove to Burano, you need to look up Linea 12 which states times and number of stops too. (Bear in mind that there are... More
