it's right by the road, on the sharp curve and when you see the sign, you already passed the parking. it looks babilonian, must have been an awesome fortress back in the day.

Very nice scenic view of sea and train tracks and old fortress of many tiers that goes back to the time of the ancient Persians. If you walk in the tall grass of the Ivy covered circular rings on each level, beware of chiggers!

The ruins of ancient historical city-fortress Petra are located in the village of Tsikhisdziri and dates back to VI century A.D The Byzantine Emperor Justian biult a city here because of its strategic location. Amazing place have to see it

The fortress itself survived in quite poor conditions due to its long and violent history. So there are not many remnants left except for rampart ruins, however, it worth short visit to walk among ruins. Don't miss fantastic view of Kobuleti town and coast line...More
