This monastery holds Georgian history and culture in one. Must-visit place with a beautiful view on Mtskheta city and the junction of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Recommended!

This church is at the top of the hill on the other side of the river from Mtskheta. The church itself is not too big, but the main attraction is the beautiful view from there.

There are many old impressive fortress like churches in this part of Georgia. Jvari is one of the best to visit. It is an imposing structure atop a hill overlooking the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi Rivers. The views from the church are stunning.

You can easily see this church from a distance, perched high on a hill. Beautiful stonework and architecture. Very busy, but still large enough that as you walk around to explore, you are able to get away from the crowds. Stunning views of the surrounding...More

You can cover Tbilisi leisurely in a day. There is ample public transport and taxis are not expensive. Many of the sights in Tbilisi are around Old Tbilisi or walk-able. Suggest to take a cab to Mtshketa and can visit Jvari... More
