Great for a short walk through the fortress and taking pictures. There is a cool park around the whole fortress.

Recently renovated, the Pirot Fortress (serb. Momčilov grad) has gained a lot of attention by local and international tourists. It has become one of the symbols of the town of Pirot and one of the most visited attractions in this part of Serbia. A well-done restoration and an interesting historical background of this fortress will interest you in visiting it and enjoying its beauty (as well as the view over the town). Although the fortress itself is not enormous, it is highly recommended to visit this fortress if you're in Pirot, because it is definitely a must-see!

Recently renovated is a fun destination for adultd and older children (you will have to carry younger children as there are many stairs, not accesible for strawler). It offers nice view to the city and plently of space for littles princesses and knights. Several times we found the gate clossed. Working hours were nowhere indicated so i am not sure when can you visit.

Beautiful fortress well preserved. The park around the fortress was built since our last visit (2014). Currently, they are renovating the interior of the fortress so that visitors can enter, which is really good because it was inaccessible in 2014 and this year. We will have to go back!

Behind the fortress, you can climb the mountain to have a view of the entire city and the fortress.

I really enjoyed a stroll around the castle and its grounds, I was lucky enough to have good weather which made the walk very pleasant, and from the top of the castle walls you can have a fantastic view across the rest of the town.

The fortress is located in a pretty quiet park. It offers a nice view of the city. The area is quiet and offers place to just relax o take a stroll. The fortress dates back centuries and represents the history of the serbian people. It was closed the day visited , however still worth visiting.

The ruins of the fort were nicely restored with European money, unfortunately, during my visit, it was locked.
Along the fort, there is a beautiful park that offers a nice cold shade on hot summer days.
