Beautiful place to visit, but don't waste your time fishing. The reservoir is like the dead sea right now with no trout stockings. Fished for 4 hours without even a bite (caught our limits at Montgomery reservoir the day before). Everyone else we talked to...More

It was our first time to the lake since they started doing the decontamination of boats and we are saddened to say we have never been so disappointed in how we were treated when we were hoping off the lake. Ironically we decided to get...More

Definitely a favorite place to camp near Vail, it's just far enough off the beaten path to be tranquil. All forest service campsites are clean and scenic. If your boating you need to stay at a campsite on the more deserty east side with a...More

We enjoyed a hike around this lake. My sister and I took photos while others in our group fished. The hike is not too strenuous, but the last little bit involved some climbing over small boulders as you head back to the car. Lovely.

Packed this weekend with boaters campers . Wonderful place to just hang out. Res is ice cold but can be refreshing on hot day. Scenery is smashing. Worth the drive from silverthrone or Granby. No amenities though bring a picnic.

Heeney is a small town along Green Mtn Reservoir in Northern Summit County. Somewhat remote, so not crowded. Summertime 75 degree days, good for boating, wakeboarding, SUP, Windsurf, Fishing. Boat rentals at the Heeney Marina, camping in several locations around the lake.

The place is nice but the water is cold. Great views and good for camping parties. I've even found arrowheads, but leave them in place for others to enjoy.
