"Cheesy and Great!" Okay first off, the staff at the front paint a great picture with their story telling ability. They explain a bit about where the legends come from and really get you into the right "mood" for the exhibit. It is a smaller...More

The people who created this museum have a sense of humor! They do not take their subject too seriously and it is very fun to go through it. There may be serious information to be gleaned, but my main reaction was just a big smile.

This places seems to be a combination of a science museum, a traveling carnival and a grandmother's attic. Quirky, spooky, and completely unexpected, it's worth stopping for an hour to stretch your legs and your imagination!

This elaborate and well designed little museum is worth a visit. You only need about an hour, but the interactive displays are fun and if you like stories of monster you'll like this. Was surprised by how much I liked it.

Gives an insight into local folkore in sea monsters. It is not a big museum (4-5 rooms), making it just about right as a short stop to relieve your kids from sitting in the car all day.

Very small but done very nicely. With a small gift and coffee shop attached. Covers the topic of local sea monsters which, if real, would be a bit scary to bump into on a wind swept beach. A nice place to pop into while exploring...More

It was interesting and fun, but a little expensive for a museum so small (then again we are in Iceland...) The setting in the museum was great.
