If you love to explore new and interesting areas, enjoys the beauty of nature at its wildest form, keen to explore wildlife, bit of an adventure seeker, then try this out.

Try this on a cold / winter morning or a raining evening, this route is just aswesome and will take you through the scenic Kundala Dam, Mattupetty Dam, Iravikulam National park before reaching Top Station. Do check out the view from the bottom of the Top station view point. After Top Station further down you will find Pampadumshola National park, and then Koviloor, - a mixed culture village with ample number of temples. Vattavada is assumed to be the border b/w Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Must try out, though there is nothing much to check out , but the views are just aswesome. You can also plan for a stay in this foot hill village, enjoy the natures beautiful offerings.

Statutory Alert : Please note you have to cross a Pampadumshola national park enroute Vattavada, and could land up face to face with wild Elephants, Indian Gaur and sometimes tiger and leopard as well. Try only at your own Risk & do not litter or feed wild animals

An amazing view of the tea farms. Unfortunately when we got there it was foggy so we didn't see much.

This point had great view of valley and surrounding mountain tops.Though in Tamil Nadu yet a Keralite person holding a small piece of land, is charging Rs25 per adult and Rs15 for Child.
People walking should have shoes with grip on land, for elderly person better to carry a stick.Water bottle and their belongings carefully
The steps are not maintained and risky to walk with family
for the amount collected He should be getting around 1 million rs per year, but the
inconvenience and risk involved is great for middle aged persons and children to walk down and up in this track

It's one of the best places I've been to. Great roads. Lots of places to see on the way. Very easily accessible. You don't have to Trek or anything. Better to visit early in the morning or in the evening..

We reached late, and due to darkness could not enjoy the beauty. But considering the surroundings, this place can be enjoyed well in day time.
You will have to travel for 2-3 hours from Munnar to reach this point.

If you are ever in Munnar then make sure you take a trip up to the Top Station View Point. The walk up and down is steep and tough but it’s well worth the effort to get to the bottom viewing platform. It’s beyond stunning looking out on to the valley and the mountains. The monkeys are cute along the way when heading down the steps to the viewpoint but they can be quite aggressive with tourists so be careful! Make sure you have a charred corn on the cob on the way back down to the car park from one of the local vendors they are delicious and sweet.

We had a trip to Munnar,Kerala in the month of April which was summer time all over india. Though it was summer we were able to enjoy the weather in munnar.

Reaching Munnar:
There are public transports available to Munnar from Udumalaipet operating by both TNSTC and Kerala Transport corp. It was 3 hours journey(90 km) from Udumalaipet to Munnat.

Places to Visit in Munnar:
Here i mention the distance of places from centre of Munnar town.

Towards Madupetty Direction:
1.Flower garden - 2 km
2.Photo point - 4 km
3.Jungle honey bee nest - 5 km

10. Tribal village view - 22 km
11. Kundala lake - 26 km

You can cover all the above places in one day. Start early morning and reach Top station(you can enjoy this ride because you can find tea estates at both the side of the road). And you can cover all other placed while coming back from top station.

Top Station View Point is in the Kannan Devan Hills, Munnar and was once the transshipment point of the tea leaves collected from the tea plantations. The panoramic view of the valley & western Ghats, tea plantations, parts of Theni district, the zig zag road etc are charming but occasionally the area will be covered by mist or fog. Top station is one area where the Neelakurinji flower blooms and the Kurinjimala sanctuary is near by. It was biting cold this February when we went to top station and the mist and fog made the visibility poor but we really enjoyed it. Most of the tourists who come to Munnar visit top station view point too.

view might be amazing but on rare days (not always)
you need to travel a lot and then walk a lot to reach destination

And all turn out to disappointment if its not cloudy enough for the view
