An icon on Northland’s horizon, the Poor Knights Islands are both a complete Marine Reserve, and a Nature Reserve. The Perfect Day’s half-day cruise takes you snorkeling, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding in sub-tropical waters, sightseeing into the World's largest sea-cave and through spectacular arches. With a dramatic volcanic backdrop and turbulent Maori history, teaming schools of fish and bird life, this is a day you will remember for the rest of your life.

We went out with two families in March. Slight stuff up with our booking which they quickly fixed which was great. A full boat (pretty much) but didn’t feel crowded. The scenery was amazing and the staff were great - friendly and approachable. Would have...More

Great captain Ben. A real pleasure day. Scenery beyond compare. The history of the island is very interesting and shared by the crew.

Amazing. Simply amazing! You may not see super brightly colored tropical fish here but the amount is stunning! We saw a huge pod of dolphins on the way to Poor Knights and the snorkling was fantastic. Paddle boards and kayaks to use at your leisure...More

The day we went there was a 2-3 metre swell running. The skipper warned us the trip once out of the harbour would be 'sporty'. It was certainly challenging! The staff did a wonderful job running around with sick bags and tissues! Once in the...More
