Sadly tulips late this year. Immaculately maintained and very pleasant place. We envisaged that it may be bigger but we managed to spin it out to 2.5 hours. You could however make it last longer and get better value with picnic and games if you have children or have something else to sit quietly and entertain yourself there . Lovely... More

It was a visit for an elderly parents' birthday (83). To the tulip festival. I was expecting masses of tulips however there were a lot of varieties in tubs and some in beds, but I don't know why but because of the word festival probably expected more. The gardens were in good order for the day and time of year,... More

Thank you for your review. It doesn't specific the date of your visit (it was posted by Trip Advisor on 24th May and the Tulip Festival ended on 15th) so I'm unable to give as detailed an answer as I would have wished. Owing to the poor weather earlier in the year, which slightly delayed the flowering of the tulips,... More

I took my mum and my gran here last week. It was my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last. Everything about the gardens were absolutely beautiful. We spent around three hours walking around in the sunshine admiring all the lovely flowers. Also we sat and enjoyed paninis and icecream from the cafe. Me and my mum are... More

Thank you for your lovely review and we're really glad you, your mum and gran enjoyed the visit. It means a lot when people take the time to give such a positive review of the Gardens and I'll ensure your comments are passed back to our staff, who all work so hard to make Burnby Hall Gardens the very popular... Disappointing the scones were not risen and dry and the milk shakes didn't have much taste. Shame as its in such a nice place. Staff were nice. Coffee wasn't very hot.

Thank you for your review. I'm sure you'll forgive me if I think you've been a little unfair on us in basing your review of the Gardens primarily upon your café visit as there's so much more to experience within the Gardens themselves. I'd always advise anyone who has a problem to speak directly to the staff at the time,... More

Given the time of year there was not much that was in bloom, but what there was, including the tulip displays, was pretty good. The gardens are well looked after. There are a lot of fish in the lake which you can feed. The cafe was a different matter. Two cappuccinos and a teacake came to £6.95. The coffees were... More

Thank you for your review. On the day of your visit, we had over 14,000 tulips on display (30 different varieties), spring blossom on trees throughout the Gardens and bluebells in both the stumpery and rock garden, so I'm not sure what more we could offer given the time of year. As a gardens, we're governed by the seasons, but... More

We visited this place in order to see the tulips in full bloom and very lovely they were too. So many varieties in so many colours. The gardens are well worth a visit at any time. In summer the lake will be beautiful with a display of many different water lillies in flower. The garden paths are easily accessible for... More

spend a good few hours here, had a lovely lunch, and wandered round the lovely gardens and ponds. Need to visit several times a year to really get the full pleasure. May was brilliant for the Tulips, summer is fantastic for the water lilies, but never disappointed whenever we go .

We arrived for the tulip festival lovely tended gardens and especially enjoyed the dovecote with resident doves in it. The tulips were late opening and maybe we should've been a week later, it would've been nice to have been told at the visitors centre about this so we could've made a decision wether to pay or leave it a week....
