Avoid the cafe, enjoy the sculptures
The sculpture park is worth a visit as it is a joy to walk around the sculptures and studios. The walk around is picturesque, interspesed with large outdoor scultures that you can walk around and appreciate from different angles. The guides were helpful but not intrusive. The cafe/restaurant was on a total go slow.....so a MUST to avoid! Take all drinks and food unless you want an hour's wait for a coffee and snack. Better to spend the time walking round!

    Stunning sculptures in landscape
Excellent visit. Enjoyed the visit to the sculpture park and the studios, where it was interesting to understand more about Moore’s creative process. The house visit was also excellent with a very knowledgeable guide. We had no issues with the restaurant!

Inspiring and Interesting Day (Best day out!)
I would recommend this as a destination for families, friends and for those individuals curious about sculpture or Moore specifically, there is much here to stimulate conversations or absorb an individual. I went there with my partner and parents and we all had a wonderful time. The curation of Moores works is done very sympathetically to his process and the grounds that showcase his large works are truly inspiring. I would emphasise above all the positivity of the various staff, from the receptionists, guides and researchers (the archives were open the day we went) to the people working in the cafe they really could not have done more to make the visit comfortable and memorable. In short you really can’t go wrong here, I can’t wait to return with my children.

The sculpture park is amazing. The blend of the sculptures and natural environment is a charming, tranquil marriage.
The cafe though a tad expensive offers tasty meals with splendid views of the gardens. There is good social distancing between the tables with the option to eat al fresco.

There are studios to interest and escape any rain.

A word of warning about viewing the house. Eight people are allowed at a time with a little over a square metre space throughout the tour. Visitors are required to wear overshoes to protect the carpet. One visitor mistakenly stood outside to allow others enough space to put on overshoes. A clear indicator of too many for the space.

All visitors are required to be in the same room at all times due to there being items of high value on display. It is only ventilated by electric fans with no open windows.

Too many people in a low ceilinged, limited, poorly ventilated space did not allow for any social distancing. If you suffer from claustrophobia be aware. I don't usually but felt very claustrophobic here.

On a positive note the guide is excellent.

Absolutely stunning sculptures. Volunteers who are knowledgeable and helpful. We spent quite a lot of time walking around the grounds and the studios. A little disappointing to see adults standing on the sculptures. The cafe is expensive and the staff were obviously bored with serving customers. However, this is not sully a wonderful experience.

Great day out, lovely to walk around the grounds, visit the studios, 1960s exhibition and workshop. Enjoyed the tea shop, great pot of tea and cake, sandwiches and rolls looked fresh, generous portions. The best part of the day for me was a guided trip around the house, well worth paying a little extra for. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, in fact all the staff seemed passionate about the place. Such an enjoyable day out, thank you

Great place and just a 10 minute drive from home for us so we are frequent visitors. But, the cafe is very slow service and extortionately expensive. A regular Americano coffee with a splash of milk was £3.55. That in my opinion is extracting the urine. The same coffee in Starbucks would be around £2.50 and just £1 in McDonald's.

Stunning sculptures and beautiful landscape. There were some excellent volunteers but unfortunately our visit was let down by one of them making our little girl cry. At the desk you are encouraged to touch the sculptures outside so my little girl did so while holding her map. Sadly a lady came bounding over and told her off directly rather than speaking to myself. She said she thought she was going to draw on the map which she was not. It made it very difficult to relax for the rest of the visit and our little girl then refused to touch them for fear of being told off.

Also sad to see such a high entrance price for children aged 5 and above to access art.
We used our 2 for 1 Gardeners World card which made our trip affordable.

With 70 acres to roamaround this property and view the enormous scultured scattered throughout, it is easy to see the influence of nature on Henry Moore's art. It is nothing short of breathtaking to see these spectacular sculptures in such an amazing natural environment. There is a wonderful gift shop and café on the grounds as well.
