Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We managed to get on what will probably be the last trip for the 2023 season. On arrival the staff were really friendly, helpful and informative and this continued throughout the trip. There was a good balance between information on the local landmarks and powering along. We managed to see multiple seals around Worms Head and an impressive blow hole. The 2 hour trip goes amazingly quickly which is probably a function of the changing scenery and there always being something of interest.
There doesn’t appear to be a huge number of activities in Swansea in general so Gower Coast Adventures is certainly a great choice.

We booked the whole boat: they were very accommodating in satisfying our needs and wishes. They took care of us, both loading and unloading, and the captain was careful to lessen the impact of the waves (as far as he could).
There was quite a wade out to the boat - not much distance but well over my knee height, so do dress appropriately

An amazing trip today. Thank you Dave & Anthony for a fun, safe, relaxed and knowledgeable adventure. The coastline is breathtaking and what a bonus to have seen grey seals at Worms Head and a pod of common dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Unforgettable 😊Would highly recommend.

What an absolutely fantastic experience, well organised prior to our visit with regular reminders (dress warmly!) by email and text, easy to find, although the nearby car park run by a private estate is unnecessarily expensive (£15 for transporter size). Professional, warm friendly staff made us welcome and feel safe, the boat is accessed by wading through the water so you will get wet. It's a really comfortable ride on the rib with regular stops at points of interest. We know we were lucky to see a couple of pods of dolphins with young, the children have a core memory now. Seals, kittiwakes, cormorants all easy to spot and the knowledgeable, passionate staff talk you through facts about the wildlife and local history. Thank you so much

We have just come home from a fantastic trip around worms head! Highly recommend it if you can go! Rhian is amazing, very knowledgable and passionate about the marine wild life and although I’ve walked most of the coast line and been here every year for the last 35 years she informed us of so many interesting facts I was unaware of!
We saw so many birds and seals which were amazing but we were also lucky enough to see the dolphins too!!!
Dave is a great skipper and your in safe hands!
Makes you appreciate what wonderful coast line we have!!

This was a 2-hour fast boat ride to discover the coastline and wildlife of the Gower from Oxwich to Rhossili and Worm's Head.
I booked in person, staff extremely friendly and professional and boat + sailing skills equally impressive.
It was obviously too late in the season to see a wide variety of seabirds but the kittiwakes didn't let us down. We saw plenty of seals and also a glimpse of porpoise.
Staff both attentive and knowledgeable.
Quite expensive, but a quality experience.

A fantastic thing to do and educational! The skipper and our on board microbiologist were very knowledgeable, informative and shared much information about ethical practices at sea. We had a marvelous tour, saw seals, all sorts of birds, and even dolphins along with fabulous scenery. Our guides were not only exceptionally professional and skilled, they were incredibly kind! This is a must do if you can.

Absolutely fabulous trip yesterday. Professional, friendly, knowledgable crew who delivered in bucket loads! Sunbathing seals, so many different sea birds, and the most incredible dolphin pods on the way back. I’ve seen dolphins twice before (in NZ and Turkey), but yesterday was just incredible!
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, the trip was outstanding!

Hi
We are on holiday near oxwich bay but we have our dog with us. Would our dog be able to come along on the boat tour?

We are looking to book this Friday. We have the choice of 4 times. Just wondering which one would be best to see most wildlife morning / late morning or afternoon ?
Thank you

Hi. We were told that the 9:30 trip was the best for wildlife. On ours we saw a lot! 👍

We are visiting family in Sketty between March 26 & leave early on the morning of April 9th so would need to be between these dates.
I realise you don't start until April and tours rely on the tides but do you have any idea of available trips between these dates as I prefer to book in advance prior to leaving Perth Australia.
Also what is the cost as there will be two of us.

HI
We will be starting boat trips on the 1st April 2017
The trips will very much depend on the weather conditions and customer demand at the time.
It is not a busy time for us so the will be plenty avaibility.
It is best to give us a call when you arrive and we will have a better idea of the options for you.
Regards
Dave

Is it suitable for 5 years old?
David T
Swansea, UK1 contribution
On calm days our trips are suitable for all ages, and we can provide waterproof coats and life jackets for all ages. On windier and bumpier days we cannot take children under 3.
It is best to check with us over the phone when you book, we can check the forecast and advise you at that point.
Many thanks.

Is this suitable for less able bodied people. Not disabled

Yes, I use a walking stick and am able to move around. There are quite a few benches along the front, where you can take a breather. Flat along the front, Newton Road is quite steep but can be done in easy stages, maybe call in a few shops on the way. Hope this helps.

where abouts in Mumbles does this tour leave from?
David T
Swansea, UK1 contribution
Hi there, the departure point for mumbles trips is Knab Rock, SA3 4EN, the trips from this location are fairly limited during the summer season as our most popular trip is the 2 hour trip from Oxwich bay to Worms head. For further information and trip times please call 01792 348229
