Paddle boarding for me was the best part of our holiday. From feeling anxious to being totally confident by the end. Logan the instructor was fantastic, patient and great fun. Both my children loved the experience, as did I. I will be back and certainly booking this experience again.

    Weekend stay
Went away for the weekend for some well deserved family time before the kids go back to school. The Cavan was lovely very clean and spacious. The venue was okay but definitely Recommend to go to the propeller restaurant for food. A special mention go to the leisure team especially Laura, Leah and becca - far too many to mention by name, But they were so good at getting us in to the pool every day as walk in, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They also took time to explain what they had going on for the day. They remained very professional considering how busy they were. Massive well done and thank to you all! Would recommend to anyone.

    Great place recommended to everyone
I work at the bay filey owned by away resorts and i thought it would be nice to come here for our anniversary. It was absolutely amazing better then what i thought the lady that checked me in was very nice and the on site shop had 2 lovely ladys serve me absolutely fab definitely recommend for everyone especially. The only thing i could say a bit negative about is the pot holes in the road do cause a bit of problems driving around in my car but apart from that everything else is absolutely fab

Lovely stay, booked with away resort.
We stayed here with two dogs in a comfort caravan with a hot tub and we really enjoyed it. We also booked half board and we loved the food it was worth it! We loved watching the planes plenty to do as we had the passes included in our stay. Staff were all friendly and kind to our dogs even in the restaurant! We would definitely recommend booking with away resort rather than a private booking. Lovely little shop onsite. Can’t wait to return.

    Be warned
We rented a lovely van with hotub & Lake view for 4 days. I was told before we arrived that if you want to use the facilities we had to pay £80 irrespective of how many people were staying. I thought I would have a look at the facilities before parting with £80 as there was only me and the wife both in our 70's. Staff would NOT allow even a short inspection, no way Jose. 2nd ly. The wifi is crap, after I found this out I went to pay extra to which I was told it's not worth it as that was crap too. Very disappointing in this day & age at a top end site. RAF close by so yesterday was like being on the garage strip jets roaring past every 10 mins, great at first but that soon wore off.

Lovely little getaway for the weekend
As we live in Nottingham we decided to go to Tattershall as a weekend getaway as a family. The park itself is huge and so much for the kids to do! It would be nice if abit more than the swimming was included in the price as alot of other activities were quite expensive! Our caravan needed a little TLC in places but was a great size. Only downside was we were right next to the big top so my daughter couldn't sleep through the music going off until 11pm. It would be better if you could choose when booking whether you want to be near that or not as with younger kids it's a pain. We went in the big top on the sat eve and entertainment was great the staff were lovely. Also in both restaurants staff were lovely and very knowledgeable on allergies which was great, I felt very looked after. Would definitely come again

    week away
went to Tattershall lakes country park and stayed in caravan 55 around the fishing lake, the caravan itself was good in a good location and the views were really good, and the swans and geese pottering about was good to see, the caravan itself was ok but the not the cleanest and that needs improving as there where lots of areas that we had to wipe down. our relatives in the caravan 5 down from us were the same and needed to wipe around there caravan, there views were great again and they loved the view and my father in law fished from his peg there and said it was really hard to catch anything, he had more luck on rudd lake which was opposite us. The site itself was really good and weekends were busy and in the week was quiet which was good, all the food and drink we had was good we didnt have any complaints there and we ate in the spitfire bar 3 times and the propeller once and all the food was great, i had read reviews that were a bit negative but it was good when we were there. prices are what you expect for a site and complex, we knew that before we went, it was also a great base for exploring the area and we went out to different attractions while we were there. overall a good week away and we would go back as we thought it was good for what we paid and the location of the site.

    Lovely experience
Amazing visit to this place. Was a bit wary when I read the reviews but the caravan was great. Spacious with everything we needed. Guest Services were lovely and welcoming. Played bingo in the big top area and it was an enjoyable evening. Lots to see nearby. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be returning.

    Great holiday
On arrival we were told there was a problem with our initial booking however they quickly upgraded us which included a hot tub. My husband spent one of the days fishing and my mum and myself had a great time wondering around the lakes. Tattershall lakes is a beautiful setting. The staff were very professional were more than happy to help when ever needed. There is plenty to do on site for people of all ages. We had taken food shopping with us however did eat in the restaurant for lunch once which was reasonable priced. The drinks are a little on the expensive side but that was to be expected. As this was or first time to this resort we have learned that if there is something you really want to do it is best to book before coming, for example my mum and myself were thinking ablut booking a spa treatment and found that alot of the slots were booked. The app is very useful and when we going back we will be booking in advance. We will definitely be going back and having stayed in one of the indulgent lodges would say it is worth the extra money. Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday see you again next year. Should also mention we had our dog with us aswell and the majority of the resort is dog freindly.

This site has simply got too big for its boots. Almost every caravan/lodge/cabin has a hot tub and it’s clear the site can not cope with such a demand on resources.

We arrived on the 30th, staying in a private rental. All fine until it came to getting ready for the NYE festivities at 5pm the following day. The power went out at around 5:15, plunged into total darkness with no water, electric, heating or sanitation. The entire park was out. We followed progress on social media until notification came at 7:30 that power could not be restored, all NYE celebrations were cancelled, and the advice was to leave the park if possible. As we had already had a bottle of champagne by this point, leaving was not an option. And from the 100s of comments on their social media pages, it was apparent this was the case for many others. Away resorts PROMISED all those who left would be reimbursed. We spent NYE in the cold and dark.

The blackout continued until NYD. Our caravan was located on the Fairways, where power was intermittent at best. After consultation from our owner, we decided to stick out our holiday as we were able to get the caravan warm when the power was on. However, at 6pm, when the site was in darkness again, we were approached by Away Resorts and instructed to leave. So, we had to pack everything away in complete darkness and leave the park with two very upset children.

The response from Away Resorts has been abysmal. Whilst those who booked direct with the resort are being refunded and offered another holiday, those who booked with private owners are to receive £75. No free holiday and a New Years Eve we will never get back.

Since returning it has become apparent that this is not the first time this has happened at the park, and power outages are quite frequent. The site does not keep a back up generator on site, so there is no quick solution. The site needs to rethink the sheer number of hot tubs on the site and the power they require to operate. As this is a continued risk with the site, I’d never return.

Tattershall lakes, what a joke!!!! Stayed here for a week in feb and the place looks like a swamp. There’s building work going on all over the site, we paid £38 for entertainment passes to use the swimming pool and having passed over the money, were then told you have to book a time slot and that there is none available. We tried every day to go swimming but no time slots available on any of the days we stayed. Complained to reception and asked for a refund and was told you can’t have a refund even though we hadn’t used our passes at all and when we filled out the complaint forms we asked what will be the process now, to be told nothing will happen with that form. The staff are very rude and unhelpful. The queue for complaints was longer than the line for the pool. There are 4 lakes for fishing on site but the on-site tackle shop doesn’t open till March and the nearest one is 9 miles away. The 4 lakes are full of weed and over grown trees and bushes at the guest pegs. Spent five days here and didn’t see one person catch a fish! So if your thinking of a fishing holiday think again. The only saving grace for the holiday was the hot tub on the side of the caravan for the kids to play in but they would of sooner been in the swimming pool. I wouldn’t recommend this site unless you like wasting your money or like looking at construction sites.

Myself and 7 other family members went to the propeller bar Saturday evening. The service was good and my meatballs were delicious. However, my partner had ordered a steak and requested it to be medium but when it came out it was very rare and even rarer than other family members who had ordered medium-rare. He decided to leave the steak and at the end mentioned it to the waitress. The manager then came over and spoke to us in a very disrespectful way and told us that he should have mentioned about the steak when the waitress had asked us how our meals were. We were sat at a table of 8 and when the waitress asked we hadn’t even started eating yet and she asked the opposite end of the table not even close to my partner. The manager also made up that the waitress had asked my partner and stood behind my partner personally which definitely didn’t happen and even the waitress admitted this. We were then given 25% off his meal but when still complaining were given 50% off for a meal he did not eat. Another couple sat next to use were also complaining about the same problem and had said they had problems the previous evening. I feel that it was dealt with in a very disrespectful manner and the way we were spoken to was disgusting! We had paid a lot of money for all our meals and all we were asking was for was his meal to be took off the bill but instead were spoken to as if it was our fault that the meat wasn’t cooked! I think some of the staff need to learn how to speak to customers especially when they admit to speaking to us disrespectfully!

We just spent three nights in a Luxury Lodge (static caravan) at Tattershall Lakes. We booked a table in the Propellor Bar restaurant for my wife's birthday, knowing it would probably cost us £30 a head for a meal - we weren't expecting to be asked to pay an extra £40 for a "Guest Pass" just to take up our booking.
The wasps, as others have said, are a real problem everywhere. The park has clearly expanded too quickly, as the road around our "street" (Anglers Acre) flooded completely after an afternoon's rain. The other residents don't seem to have heard of facemarks or social distancing - we were unable to use Guest Services or the shop due to the large number of large people queueing too close together whilst shouting and swearing loud enough for our children to hear.
The traffic noise from the A153 continued all day and all night, as did the shouting from other residents. Our enjoyment of the hot tub was somewhat curtailed by the traffic fumes and noise, we tried it twice and gave up both times.
This was meant to be a replacement break for a cancelled fortnight in Crete. Frankly I'd rather brave 8 masked hours in a 'plane and having to put my toilet paper in the bin over coming to Tattershall again. You have been warned.

I don't know what i expected before I arrived but I left feeling very disappointed.
Entertainment passes are extortionate given pretty much everything is either booked or closed. You are basically paying £40-£50 for a 3 night stay to access the bar and eating area. I dont know why they haven't reduced the prices but my only guess is to rip people off and get as much money as they can, You have pay full price for passes regardless of party size as its based on accommodation size meaning a two person party pays the same as a 8 person group if you were in a 8 berth caravan
The queuing at the bar as painfully slow, taking up to 1/2 hour at some point to get a drink.
food had a waiting time of 2-3 hours so we didn't bother. (Fish and chips from the monks chip shop locally was excellent)
Most of the machines were turned off in the arcade or empty of coins.
I got the impression the staff are not very motivated and the leads to the impression they are poorly managed. Lots of wasps in the outside bar areas swarming around empty glasses not collected for hours which says it all really.
This resort is trying to be something its not ready to be in my opinion
Ok if you want to lounge around all day in your hot tub, but for most other things i'd give it a miss, especially during covid season

Expensive for what it is, most activities are at an extra cost, the entertainment/facilities cannot cope with the amount of people due to the sheer size of the resort and number of vans/cabins etc. long queues for just about everything. Staff poorly organised in just about every regard, they lack the basic knowledge of the park and ability to provide good customer service, tables very rarely tidied up and cleared away after folk, piles of plates, glasses, bottles etc. on tables a common occurrence. It started badly with check in at the gate where the guy gave us the wrong directions to our van, no map provided (even though later available at one of the various service desks). We booked swimming for early Saturday morning as was the only time available to find the entrance closed, was told by staff pool wasn't open until 9am even tough we booked it for 7:45am, just incorrect, no one could help, staff clueless to how it operated, turned out it actually opened at 8am for owners (strange setup), we got in eventually begrudgingly as we had a booking and they couldn't refuse! Told them about their website as could book pool from 7am! Was told they had walk ins too throughout the day, to add insult to injury, although no mention of this on their website, very poor show and barely got an apology. Had long waits at the restaurant just to be sat down, long waits for drinks elsewhere as one queue for the bar at a tiny bar, main bar not in use as used for table service in the restaurant, so it sat idle mostly, defied all logic. Park will probably play the covid card, but their setup did nothing to make things safer, just more frustrating. Long queues just to get into the "entertainment" complex, passes weren't scanned even though QR codes, older members of our party decided to print out passes as not smart phone savvy, was fine up until final day when they were told pass was not acceptable as no expiry date on it, you couldn't make it up, plain daft, almost refused entry but got in eventually. Not much in they way of entertainment besides playground and arcade near the bars/restaurants. Shows seemed mainly in the big top tent, outside the complex, bizarre setup. No fishing available for the weekend we were there. Would not recommend it or book again, it needs a complete rethink, poorly organised place, improvement badly needed.

We just got back from a Monday to Friday break. We hired privately and had to pay £40 extra for 2 adults And a 2 year old for the entertainment passes. The lady selling them to us was abit dramatic, said we can’t expect to get in to the restaurant etc as priority will be given to guests who booked directly with away resorts.. this simply wasn’t the case. We had 2 lovely meals in the Spitfire lounge and 1 in the Italian restaurant.

Luckily the owner we hired from made us aware of booking activities like swimming well in advance as when we arrived on the Monday there were no more swimming slots available for the week.

The man made beach isn’t up to much, looked like a swamp so we didn’t bother.

Overall the staff where great, super friendly and really helpful. We had a great holiday and would 100% go back.

I think at times like this if you’re prepared to make your own fun then you can certainly have a really good time here

Stayed here withmy 18 year old daughter in Agusut 21. We stayed in a private caravan which was beautifully presented. Great advice given to book activities 21 days in advance. Outdoor pool was great despite the inclement weather. Paddleboarding was a fabulous experience. The instructors were great (especially helping me back on the board when I fell off trying to stand.) Eato book and complete the consent form online. Hired wetsuits were much needed. We ate at the Spitfire bar one night. Good atmosphere and great service. We had burgers which were lovely. We prebooked the Propellor bar (you pay a deposit per person) Fabulous service by Jasmyne and Eloise. Nothing was too much trouble, service with a cheery smile. The food was delicious. We had a spaghetti carbonara and a vegetable pizza. The Pizza was so big I had to ask for a doggy bag to bring some home. Big shout out to the kitchen for the calamari starter. We discovered it is made fresh on site. Having eaten calamri on the beach in both Kenya and Corfu this calamari was as good as any
we have tasted. We would also recommend sitting in Bar 49 overlooking the lake to have cocktails. We did this serveral times. It was busy but not overly so. We have had a wonderful break and are considering booking again for next year.

I never leave bad reviews but I feel I need to warn people about staying here.

We stayed from 31/05/21 to 04/06/21 half term week & I would never stay here again. The park it's self is lovely, the grounds are well kept & clean, there are lovely walks and green areas to play football etc.
The burst of blue caravans are lovely and modern, bed very comfortable. Cleanliness was good untill we found under the toilet seat of the en suite had loads of 💩 underneath. This was report and resolved very quickly. We also had to report both living room and main bedroom TV's not working, again resolved quickly. Unfortunately our caravan (34 swan view) was right underneath the RAF air strip so this was extremely loud & the caravan would vibrate from around 08:40-17:00ish but was also fun for our 6 year old to watch on occasion.

We had food in one of the restaurants & One of the male waiting staff was extremely rude after we told him our order was wrong, the server went back to the kitchen with the food then came back with the same food and slammed it on the table and said if you want the upgrade you're going to have to pay for it. This resulted in the team member swearing and arguing Infront of our child. It turned out that the waitress put our order through wrong which was fine, mistakes happen but it was the way we were approached by the male server. The manager was lovely and apologised profusely. She gave us a round of drinks and got the male server to apologise which we appreciated.
Both me and my husband work in the hospitality industry so we know how frustrating it is when it's busy and customers are rude, demanding & sometimes unreasonable but this doesn't excuse swearing and shouting.

And lastly the away resorts app!!!! This app is so so poor, you have to book everything through it and it's so slow, it takes your payments for activities/ restaurant bookings but doesn't actually book you a slot.

Our first camping experience at the woodland retreat electric pitch, a large area for our tent and car; the touring manager Mark was really helpful and friendly. It would be good to have a shop on the camping site, so you can buy adapters and things that you might forget! The site was expensive but if both toilet blocks would have been open this would have made up for it.

We booked last minute and understood that activities would be booked up due to Covid, we managed to get a couple of cancellations for activities after checking the app. For activities for the children book well in advance (4 weeks).

However eating wasn't a great experience, there is just not enough food places on site, it was very frustrating, when you have 2 small children that need feeding. Yes you could book into the Propellor bar maybe 5 days in advance but that's not really good enough. They have a takeaway service, which was very booked up.

You could open a few snack bars selling hot food, a fish shop, another couple of restaurant's selling food.

This place does have potential, but take your own food, and book in advance. There are takeaways in the local village.

We visited Tattershall Farm Park which was a good experience for the children, there is a Safari park close by that was recommended too (if you are struggling to find things to do at Tattershall due to lack of spaces.
