About
Tattershall Farm Park changed hands on 15th March 2015. The new owners love the outdoors, children (they have 2 young children of their own), animals and tasty food, and this has inspired them to buy Tattershall Farm Park. Their vision is to own and run a business that makes them proud. One where their visitors want to come back time and time again. Feedback on Trip Advisor has been extremely helpful, allowing the new owners to understand what visitors like and don't like about the current offering. The negative feedback has focussed attention on the areas most in need of improvement. Changes already made - Play Barn now heated, damaged equipment repaired, children's chill out area added to cafe, cafe redecorated, new menu launched sourcing fresh, local and tasty ingredients and 'Cuddles Corner' an area where children can handle small animals Changes in progress - During April the number and variety of animals at the attraction is increasing, and these will be housed on grass in large pens with field shelters (expected completion mid April 2015). Changes that we'd like to make, but may take a little while longer include improvements to the road. Whilst 70% of the road was upgraded last summer, parts of the road are still a little bumpier than we would like!

Clean, fun and well priced
May 2021 • Family
We have been here for the last three years as it’s local to where we stay on holiday. We have seen this place grow and develop over the years and it really has improved so much. All covid restrictions are currently adhered too but still allowing children to have fun. The playframe etc is good and clean. The food and drink won’t break the bank either. The outdoor play area is brilliant for all ages. The animals are of a good variety some
Of which you can feed. We came with our 3 year old who was more interested than playing rather than the animals. All in all a fun family visit. Can’t wait for restrictions to be lifted further to come back and do the animal encounter sessions now our sons old enough to enjoy it.

Brilliant day.
May 2021 • Family
Brilliant day out for kids. Staff all helpful. Coffee and food was top quality. All animals and activity well looked after and indoor play are was a big highlight now open.

Only downside is in the indoor play area (I assume a manager/supervisor) was sat near the entrance and spoke in a very demeaning way to the staff in the kitchen in front of staff almost on the side of bullying for very menial reasons of the cakes wasnt arranged correctly and one ticket wasn't displayed.

Personally I would have done this in private or where it could not be heard.

To see this happening from upper levels of staff is something what shouldn't happen and these people should lead by example not belittle the staff

I'm so pleased you had a great time and that you loved our soft play. We'd re-opened the Play Barn just the day before, and the cafe in the Play Barn is a really new thing too (we'd opened it on the 9th October and it was forced to closed due to lockdown on 4th November. Just to give s little background. The catering manager (my sister-in law) was working in the Fodder Spot (the play barn cafe) with our most experienced front of house person and our head chef. The purpose of having the best people in for our first week of opening was to troubleshoot and solve any issues, make suggestions for layout changes, new menu items and any new equipment we needed to make things run smoothly etc etc. I had been specifically asked to work from there to observe if there was anything we weren't doing, or any tweaks we needed to our set up to make it better for our customers (from covid point of view) and also from a process point of view. So, it was me sitting by the door, taking notes, taking instructions from the team to order equipment we didn't have/ fix things we didn't know about etc and only realised we needed once we'd re-opened. So, my job that day was watching what was happening. I'd been asked to give the feedback by a senior member of our management team (that has been a friend for 16 years and is also my sister in law). She absolutely wanted to know things like if the position of the till and one way systems were working, what the cafe (including the cakes) looked like from the viewpoint of a customer looking aver at the cafe from a seat in the play barn, and whether the social distancing wristbands etc were working as anticipated. So I can assure that the conversation was definitely a 2 way street, and that I took several action points away that day, including the action point to actually get the signs she needed for the cakes and order a different Bain-marie. I was however genuinely horrified that you thought I was being bossy, and have called her to double double check that she wasn't in anyway offended, and I absolutely promise you that she had to rack her brains for the incident that was mentioned and hadn't taken it amiss in any way. She was a busy on the day solving problems and looking for solutions and we were in the 'fix it' mindset that a senior management team get into when they are trouble shooting. Alexis (the catering manager) has a fit if any of the 'farm' team try and come into her cafe parts as we're not wearing aprons etc and was happy having the conversation out in the open. If you had stayed around a little longer, you would have heard her ask me to grab an apron and clean team jacket to clear and sanitise tables (which I did) and call the coffee machine company as the temperature of the coffee wasn't right. I also had the pleasure of tasting our new loaded nachos and they were absolutely amazing. Thank you again for your review and I hope the context around the conversation you witnessed has helped set your mind at rest.

What social distancing?
May 2021 • Family
Absolutely no social distancing during my visit today, next to no hand sanitising stations and no following of guidelines. We are still in a global pandemic... Also to pay adult prices for a 2 year old child is ridiculous, I wouldn’t mind paying for them but adult prices for a toddler is ridiculous!
I’ve heard rumours that staff aren’t treated very well either

Hello Lesley, You did visit us on Bank Holiday and at the time we were operating as an outdoor only attraction, so no indoor areas were open other than toilets and baby change (with a one way system) Being nice weather, and Bank holiday, we were busier than we would usually be, however we are a large site of over 12 acres so there is plenty of room for our visitors to social distance. We have one way route into the farm (where you click in to track and trace) and play at a kiosk. The way out of our farm is through the shop. We have a hand wash sink on the way into the farm, we have one adjacent to our play area (on the front of the play barn that wasn't open at the time), we have another on the back of the cafe building (near our animal trail) and another on the back of the Animal Barn (again near our animal trail). We have a further hand wash sink at our Falconry Centre along with hand washing as you would expect in our toilets. We were serving food from our new 'Snack Hatch' which was takeaway only. Some of our visitors were not social distancing, and we had a member of our team out with a loud haler reminding them to social distance (even when outside) We have probably about 60 separate hand sanitiser points dotted around the farm too. Our pricing structure is standard for a visitor attraction with LOTS to do for toddlers and children, in that we charge the same price for anyone over 2 and and under 2's are free. We do have a concession rate for students and OAP's and carers. We have worked tirelessly to build our proposition to appeal to an older audience, rather than just children so I'm glad you feel the entry price is justified (its £7.95) for adults. As an outdoor only attraction its sad you didn't get to see our amazing indoor soft play, Toddler `room and Sandpit Room, your toddler would have absolutely loved them

Nice day out
Apr 2021 • Family
Was a really nice day plenty to do for my 18 month old grandson. The weather was a bonus as it was very warm and dry
It was not overcrowded and there were plenty of bins seating and washing stations on the farm.
You can spend the full day at here.
Had to pay for grandson even regardless of his age

Hello, so glad you had a great day. We've put so many extra measures in to make sure our visitors feel safe when they visit. Under 2's are free, and anyone else is £7.95 so if you got charged for your grandson and he was not 2 apologies as its not always easy for us to accurately determine the age of a toddler.

Dissapointed
Oct 2020 • Family
Our first visit to this farm which had been recommended. Too many people, not much social distancing. Should be a booking system so they can predict numbers especially with covid numbers going up NO social distancing and no one to control it either.

Toilets not brilliant when we used them. Usual food not all healthy choices either! Cafe expensive and the que was horrendous! 1hr waiting time just to order! Spoilt the day really.

The Pumpkin field was OK but so busy everyone touching pumpkins. One staff lady a bit rude. Will I go again? Not sure.

I visited here with my 2 young grandchildren.
My 4 year old grandson was so excited, as it is usually brilliant here.
No social distancing. Very very busy, actually uncomfortably busy.
Had too book a time to go to the play area .
Unfortunately my grandchildren were not able to play, as our allotted time was 3pm.
4 hours later!!!!
We wasn't able to see the animals because it was far too busy.
Was not able to get any food or hot drink as the queue was as long outside as it was inside.
My grandson decorated a small magnet, luckily he used stickers andnot paint, as I did not fancy walking around with a wet magnet.
The glitter tattoo was small.
And the cupcake, well it wasn't.
It was a jaffa cake with some white icing on top!!!

Lovely day out!
Oct 2020 • Family
What a fabulous day we’ve had today! So much to see and do for the entry cost. The animals are gorgeous, brilliant falconry display and lovely play parks. The soft play area and cafe were spotlessly clean and constant cleaning undertaken. Our soft play session was at 1.30 and we ate at the cafe in there which was great as the queue for the other cafe was huge! Gift shop is also reasonably priced with lots of lovely things to buy. Thanks for a lovely day - we will be back!
