I have never seen so many droppings in my entire life!!!!! We thought it was a mouse problem but upon reading this, it seems it is bat droppings.

Beautiful old church, in serious need of cash to help maintain it. Currently looking to raise £70k to refurb three original doors.

This is a beautiful old church with lots of restoration going on inside. In a large section of the church they hold coffee mornings with a children’s play area. The other half is where services still take place. There is lots of information about the bats inside and a grave reputed to be that of Tom Thumb who died in 1620. The main door to the church is massive and so thick you wonder how it was made hundreds of years ago .

We found this great place to have a coffee in when we were down visiting our son. Once we had found it we went back again & again. Very nice home cooked biscuits & cakes to be had & plain tea or coffee was always piping hot & we could have more, if we wanted. It sells books & bric a brac too, which was always great to have a browse round. The building itself is amazing & we even saw a couple of bats! This place is an ablsolute gem!

It was a shame that they were having a bat problem, but they
are sorting it worth looking at on way to Castle I am sure once
sorted it is worth revisiting to see it in its true aspect.

We visited here on the way to the castle. There are covers over a lot of things in the church as they have bats. There is bay poo literally everywhere and on everything. The interesting brasses etc aren’t possible to see due to being covered. A shame as it’s a lovely church but there’s nothing to do in there.

What a fascinating place of history.. from Ralph Cromwell to Tom Thumb.. the people in the church work tirelessly to offer coffee and cake for such a low price to gain funds for the running . Deeply in need of funds people look at the history before dismissing such a historic place of worship.. wonderful highly recommend and please please give a few pounds on visiting .. I am not a religious person but this place inspires me

Outside the church big, nice. Inside hmm I don't know, the door very old and interesting, little poorly interior, very cold, bats everywhere. So one enough to visit..

Disappointed. No refreshments, body of the church was not clean. I appreciate that they have bats, and they try to keep as much mess as possible under control. Another thing was that the toilet was dirty, and the alternative was locked. The chapel, however was really nice to see.

As you have to pass church from the car park it is worthwhile to detour off and see this beautiful place.
Would have like to spend more time here as more interesting than the castle but it was late in the day. Maybe another time
