Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have visited this establishment many times over the last 3 years. Monday’s visit was extremely distressing. I am exempt from wearing a face covering. The male employee in the shop not only asked me what my exemption was, he asked me to produce a certificate to prove it. I was appalled. He had no right to ask either, and should know that he is committing an offence under the Equality Act 2010 by doing so. If he doesn’t then I suggest he revisits the guidance and laws. I will not be going there again.
As an aside, Mr Employee, why weren’t you wearing a mask and asking your customers to do so at the height of the pandemic in March? Total ignorance.

There’s lots of old fashion sweets and lots of different flavoured fudge. However the fudge wasn’t the best. It’s over sweet containing sugar, glucose syrup and golden syrup. There was no creaminess about it and the flavours weren’t distinct enough. If there had been samples for tasting I wouldn’t have purchased any. Fudge lovers beware!

What a disappointment. Although there were lots of flavours, the fudge was poor, with none or hardly any flavour, not creamy or luxurious. For example, the whisky and ginger had no taste of either whisky or ginger. Usually, when you have this combination it has a warmth fiery taste. Now the rum and raisen tasted synthetic, whilst the salted caramel seemed to have forgotten what the flavour was supposed to be!
If they had put a try out of samples, we would not of bought any. Waste of £10.00 (3 bags for £10).
The old fashioned sweets were OK, not great but at least they have a flavour and could distinguish what you were eating.
The shop itself was quaint and clean and the staff were friendly.
Would not recommend buying fudge from here but would buy sweets again

The shop is lovely and they have a variety of flavours. I found the fudge very sweet and slightly gritty to my taste, I prefer a softer creamier fudge. However, I'm sure anyone would find something they liked in this shop. It was a nice little treat with a warm drink.

Great to visit the fudge shop once again to collect our fudge in person rather than have it sent to us. A wide range of traditional and imaginative fudges. Could easily spend the whole holiday in this shop eating my way through the lot.

We found this lovely shop by accident this week and glad we did. Tempted in by the Christmas Pudding Fudge advert in the window we ended up buying 7 different fudge gifts. Obviously have had to taste some and really excellent!! I have made fudge for years and this is very very good indeed. Delighted that we found you. Lovely to meet father and daughter team - will def be back. Highly recommended.

I ordered some fudge online and received excellent customer service. The process was easy, I was well informed all the way through, and the fudge arrived the next day, beautifully wrapped. Delightful fudge too.

We came across this place whilst visiting the village itself.
There were lots of delicious free samples which persuaded us to buy 3 200g bags of fudge for £10. The lady running the shop was very nice and cheerful.
I recommend the Chocolate Fudge, Sea-salt Fudge and the Clotted Cream Fudge, but there are many more interesting flavours.

Such a pretty shop with a very friendly lady. Great fudge and shortbread too. Wide selection of fudge - caters for vegans. Definitely worth stopping if you’re in Burley.
