Mark and Marlon were great! They drove me down to the plantation safely and Mark took me through the museum that had all sorts of artifacts that I never expected! There were real shrunken heads, dolls and money from all around the world, ancient things from before Christ (BC), taxidermy, a picture of Jesus made from the words of the bible (so small you needed a magnifying glass to see the words), Nazi gear, clothing worn by prominent figures, jewelry, collectibles (bugs, stamps, etc), and much more! Very exciting to see, although they didn’t allow pictures inside. Then we ate in the flowing water at picnic tables. Delicious food and fresh coconut juice. Very interesting experience!

The place look good and definitely a nice attraction but staff is so rude and no safety measures what so over unless its convenient for them myself and another family member fall on the stairs going to the rafting aria in the pool aria yet they didn’t offer any medical help just the safety ppl come to help me stand. the stairs going there have no rails or any nonskid material to prevent ppl from falling down. But they tell you to wear a shirt on the raft for safety reasons and your kids can’t be in the pool with you for safety reasons and any time they don’t want you to do something they tell your for safety reasons and they don’t have any ideas what is safety is

I’ve been in Villa Escudero in 2010, 2012 and 2022. No new activities or attractions were added. Same carabao ride, museum self-tour, swimming pool, cultural show and lunch menu. Pool though was improved and expanded. Faster service and better food choices and quality during cultural show. Better photo quality by official photographer. More items in the souvenir shop too. They added a covered dining hall which is nice for those who cannot go down the waterfalls to eat.
But I noticed staff was less friendly and smile less too.

I enjoyed our stay in Villa Escudero! My family had a great experience in riding the ba,mboo rafting and getting to eat near the waterfalls. We also watched the Philippine Experience Show and loved the food that were freshly served to us. The rooms were very comfortable and we have a great view in front of our room. Definitely a place to visit again!

I would like to call the attention of the management of Villa Escudero about the unpleasant incident we experienced in this popular resort. We took our visitors from Australia for a day tour in Villa Escudero. Everything went well and my visitors were delighted and impressed with the place. Upon arrival, we were offered a welcome drink "gulaman" which tasted so good. At the end of our tour, our guests requested for another glass of gulaman before leaving. I then approached the lady-staff who told me instantly that there is no more left of that drink. My Australian visitor unaware of my earlier inquiry went to ask the same lady to request for that drink and said lady produced 6 glasses of that cool drink instantly! I felt so infuriated. That was a clear case of client color preference! and to think that it is the filipino like me who paid for our tour and not my "white-colored" guests. The name of the staff is Nora Estiva and we are not coming back to this resort anymore!

I'm 59 years old and I could say that I traveled a lot internationally and local destination. Im the type of person who really won't take time to write a review, but this place really caught my attention and I had to share this to all so that they won't waste their time and money to visit this place. My family and I were in Villa Escudero for a holiday. At first, we were planning to stay overnight but it was just a full of dismay as we entered the place its so expensive but the rooms have smell because and the place is kinda old already. So we decided to take a day tour that comes with lunch amounting for 1,400.00 not bad because it included the lunch buffet, little did I know that the food served were just steamed different veggies, shrimp paste, grilled tilapia, grilled pork and pancit bihon, fried banana with brown sugar for dessert that surrounded with BIG FLIES and ants on it. we didn't touch the food even my 4 yr old grand daughter was so hungry. oh my god, we are human and not animals. we deserved to eat clean food. you have invested in a chaffing dish or a simple clear plastic cover or might as well assigned a person to take flies away using any improvised one. not just collect 1400 pesos each from 1,500 people that day!! you have earned 2 million plus that day and you couldn't provide a clean restroom, surroundings and even a so-so lunch.

We just planned a day trip to hacienda Escudero. Its really a convenient trip since its only 2 hours coming from Manila, First of, when you arrive at the place they will offer you with complimentary beverage, ( Ice tea, I think) then you will wait until they give you a go signal to enter the Hacienda. We had a carabao ride there and went to our destination which is the Lunch area, You can have lunch under a flowing waterfall..There is a pro and cons for it. PRO: Its refreshing for your feet because the runing water gives your feet a tingling sensation and for me its a new experience. The CONS is that, obviously, it may be dirty after having 100+ people sitting next to you. what if some of them have athletes foot or foot acne? Also you are eating under the waterfall, it cant be helped that some tourists would have their drinks fall to the water or worse, the food . So it can be pretty messy. After lunch, we went to their gym like area were they had cultural shows, which I found pretty boring, since I have seen alot of cultural shows from all my travels. So i was practically bored by the culutral show. so instead we just went kayaking on the river. which was fun.. and its FREE.. which is another plus.. you will only pay if you rent their fishing (man-made) equipments.. which we didnt need. So we just enjoyed ourself kayaking for nearly 2 hours or even more =)

More or less, the trip was great, and its worth your money

PROS: affordable ( forgot the entrance fee)
Nice river/lake view ( very peacefull)
CONS: cultural show sucks
dirty river buffet ( They have no system on how to stop tourists from throwing food in the river)

I always wanted to go to this resort because its near to my home town province where we visit every summer but my husband hate this place because of the discrimination that he experience in this resort. He was about to get food from the buffet when one of the waiter told him about the "foreigner first policy" in the buffet and the filipino will be the last one to get food. This incident happened long time ago I thought they already change their attitude its sad that its still happening.

i do not have time to leave reviews but i need to say something about villa escodero to help travelers like me. this place is disappointing. do not expect too much because of its 1400 entrance fee which almost $32. Not all staff are friends. Some are very unprofessional. We saw this staff cleaning the table after the buffet using a rug that he was just dipping and cleaning it in that nasty fake falls. i was so disgusting to see it. The buffet at that fake false was filty and nasty dirty. T the flies are flying all over the food. THis place is horrible for its price, low quality and unmaintained facility
.there were really nothing to see here. It has a nasty dirty pool. do not waste your time to travel and money here. go somewhere else.

The place and food is alright. The attraction and amenities, like the museum, the shell courts, etc, make this place worth going. However, please be aware and vigilant of theft in this place.
We rented a nipa hut with lock to ensure that our things were safe while we enjoy the place. Not. My daughter's cell phone/digital camera/wallet were stolen. The thief apparently dislodged one of the bamboo railings to fetch whatever he/she can and got my daughter's things.
When we left the nipa hut, one other relative left behind a plastic bag with all the wet/used clothes after changing. He went back for it, gone.
They should do more to beef up security for this place.
