Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bused and walked to this venue so we could participate in the wine tasting. No appointment, we just dropped in. The tasting session was free. The owner was welcoming and informative. We tasted 5 different wines and had the specifics of the grapes and wine making process explained to us. Two of the wines were very much to our liking and we bought a couple of bottles to take home. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 14 so we had, Phillip (our host) to ourselves :-)

Our whole group found it exceptionally informative - with the icing on the cake being that their wines are wonderful and we could tell they are very proud of them – and rightly so.

A glass of sparkling wine to start with then a set of 4 others to taste made the visit well worth the £15 per person plus the story telling and anecdotes and history that accompanied these made for the enjoyable hour or so.

Called in on spec after a morning in Sandwich and met the owners. Incredibly knowledgeable. Had some impromptu tastings. Lovely vineyard and interesting to learn about the business journey. Bought a few bottles that we’re going to enjoy.

We visited Barnsole on route down to the coast for the weekend. I was able to book our tour via email about a week before and Phillip was extremely accommodating to our request.
Upon arrival Phillip and Sally were really friendly and welcoming. We got to try a sparkling wine whilst hearing the history of English wine and Barnsole.
We then did a tour followed by tasting of three more wines. This was £15 and approximately an hour and a half which was great value for money.
We did not feel obliged to buy any extra at the end however we had enjoyed two of the wines so much that we did so. It was a fantastic and informative experience and we would highly recommend a visit to Barnsole and would love to return ourselves one day.

We were met by James and he gave us a fab tour of the vineyard . It was interesting , informative and insightful. James knew his stuff!!! We were just our own group which made it feel a very unique , personalised service - being welcomed by a glass of bubbly was a great starting point too! Tasted 4 types of wine and no pressure to buy any - but we chose to do so!!! Lovely small independent vineyard and would go back. A super afternoon! Worth the price.

Went for a lovely day out with a small group today. Phil greeted us upon arrival, the weather was beautiful. I can speak for everyone when we say it was such a great day.
Would highly recommend. The rose sparkling wine was my favourite 😊

Called in recently when passing by. Welcomed by one of the staff, Max. Max took time to show us around and tell us a little bit about the vines, how they are cared for and how the wine is then produced. Very interesting. Thanks Max, enjoyed our time chatting with you. Looking forward to enjoying the bottles of Dry Bacchanalian and Dry Reserve that we took away with us

Popped in on a vineyard cycle tour.
Very welcoming, pretty spot.
Quick tour and tasting.
Relatively old vineyard by Kent standards so different grapes and growing approaches which was very interesting.
Result - some super wines, especially a still red Pinot noir- very unusual and very good.

We visited today for the first time. The welcome was extremely warm, we were offered an impromptu tasting of their fabulous wine by Brandon who actually makes the wine and then given an enlightening tour of the vineyard and explanation of how the win is made. The wine itself is really top rate and reasonably priced.

All in all a very pleasant visit.
