Just to the East of Knysna, at the end of a dirt road, lies Noetzie, a secluded beach which is proudly encircled by castles. It is one of the last remaining homes for the very rare African Black Oystercatcher and is therefore a conservancy.

Even very well traveled South Africans possibly have never seen this beach. The pictures tells it all... Do yourself the favor and drive on the dirt road to go and experience an untouched beach as you've possibly never seen before.

Awesome beach, but isn't easy to reach. You have to climb for quite a while on a steep hill. Disabled people can't visit this place.

Just east of Knysna and driving by a township and the luxurious Pezula resort, you reach a parking lot from there stairs go down to one of the most beautiful beaches and most quiet , no one there basically on weekdays, you must see this.

Pun on the word walk. It's a steep down but even harder up. Not bad though and definitely worth the view and a stay on the beach. Water was cold in middle of winter but nothing like Camps bay cold. Beautiful castles and long flat...More
