- Jess C1 contributionBrilliant Christmas ExperienceI just wanted to send a message to say a huge thanks to all your staff. We visited as a family today and were blown away by your Santa experience ! Nat the elf was incredible what an asset she is to the whole experience and Santa was brilliant with the children too! Would not change one thing at all!! Your staff even noticed my twins were both down as the same name and came to check the details with me before we went in ! Thank you so much for 3 very very happy children! That is a lovely review, thank you so much for coming to see us and for taking the time to email in, we really appreciate it. - DayTrip7965771 contributionAn exceptional and truly magical Christmas experience for the entire familyWe have done a few Christmas experiences over the last couple of years and this was by far the best. The children enjoyed every moment. From the enthusiastic and welcoming elves on arrival, through the candy cane maze and into the 'magic lights' and snow! On arrival into the first room with children finding the letters, we found it to be well thought out. The children were all engaged and there was a fantastic choice of sweets laid out as an old sweet shop which we loved. The mince pies were absolutely delicious! From there, the elevator experience was brilliant and we loved writing and posting the letters to Santa and making the reindeer food. Having the sleigh there for photo opportunities was a fab idea. And then there was Santa himself, wow! We loved how he came down the chimney!! And to have personalised messages for all the children was so amazing, the children were in awe and it instilled their belief in Santa! This was a truly magical experience, all 4 children enjoyed this as well as us and their grandparents. A fantastic family day out, the farm was well covered in the pretty dismal weather! The children loved to be able to go in and interact with the small animals. I have to say the Shetland ponies did look a bit fed up but I'm sure they are well looked after and entertained. The soft play was also brilliant, the children had a ball and even the big kid (aka Daddy) thought it was brilliant. We will definitely be coming back for other events in the year as there were some parts of the farm (outdoors) that we didn't visit due to the weather. Thank you for the special memories you helped us to create. That is a lovely review, thank you so much for coming to see us and for taking he time to email in, we really appreciate it. - pooh815 contributionsAmazing Christmas experience!I’ve been coming to the farm with my daughter since she was 2 but this was our first time for the amazing Christmas experience. My daughter is 9 and it was so magical. Lots of fuss was made of her as we went round by the elves and the man in charge, adding to the experience. Thank you, so much thought has gone into making this what it is.That is a lovely review, thank you so much for coming to see us and for taking he time to email in, we really appreciate it. - Jojon1972Rugby, United Kingdom62 contributionsSuperb Christmas ExperienceWe went to the Christmas experience on Saturday afternoon. It was fantastic from start to finish. All the staff were enthusiastic and very welcoming even though we were one of the last sessions of the day, and they must have been worn out. I wont spoil any surprises of which there were many, all of them were well set up and the Elf that guided around the experience was amazing. The mince pies were warm and very tasty and the children were very excited to choose their sweets. The main man himself was superb - I was welling up the whole time as the children were so amazed by him as he was so impressive. The whole experience was outstanding and totally worth the money - cant wait for next year - thank you so muchThat is a lovely review, thank you so much for coming to see us and for taking he time to email in, we really appreciate it. Brilliant for my 3 year old daughter, she loved it so much ( as did her adult siblings) the farm itself is a brilliant day out and we love to feed the animals and give them some fuss. The Christmas experience is amazing and well worth the money . . Santa was brilliant too and little one loved being given a token to chose herself a present in the toyshop. The presents are very good quality and there's a good selection to chose from. Special mention to the elf sprinkles who was fabulous and great fun . Overall an amazing time had by all and we will back for next year's experience.. thank you highly recommend. That is a lovely review, thank you so much for coming to see us and for taking he time to email in, we really appreciate it. It’s so magical to walk around with little Nelly and Noah and knowing a bit more this year they were mesmerised with the experience. Magical for all the family For all ages even the adults get a mince pie and mulled wine. We will definitely be back again next year! And a special thank you to the lovely lady elf in the ginger bread bakery for making sure my father in law was comfortable and bringing him his mince pie ☺️ Thank you all so much for the lovely experienceThat is a lovely review, thank you so much for coming to see us and for taking he time to email in, we really appreciate it. Visited Weds this week and just had the best 3 hours of fun for only £5! Ideal for both children and adults with many photo opportunities along the way. Highly recommend purchasing the very reasonably priced food bucket – makes the animals even more super friendly. We made new friends with a great selection of not just farm animals but llamas, alpacas, emus and adorable chipmunks. There are even pens for you to enter to stroke the rabbits. Well organised and COVID-19 safe (mostly outdoors). Well worth a visit – you'll want to go again and again!

We visited on Sat 30th Oct for the Halloween event which we booked back in early July. Predicting that it would be busiest in the morning, we arrived about 1pm and went round to see and feed the animals first, then to the pumpkin patch to select pumpkins to carve. There were still plenty of pumpkins available and it was nicely laid out with mini wheelbarrows for the kids and hay bales for photos.
We struggled a bit for available tools in the carving tent but managed but then I really struggled getting the large carved pumpkins to the car. It would have been great if there were wheelbarrows or trolleys or just some kind of help available as an adult on my own trying to carry big pumpkins through the field, the cafe and the car park, dodging crowds of people and little kids wandering into me. Unfortunately I just couldn’t manage them the whole way so had to hand one to my son in the car park who also couldn’t manage and dropped it and it split open!
We then went back on to experience the Spooky House, by then it was about 2.40pm and we still had to queue for 40 minutes to get in! It was supposed to close at 3.30pm but I did see that at least they extended that as there was no way everyone could get round it by then. That was fun but it was just so busy and even late afternoon there were no tables by the play area so we gave up by then and went home.
It was a fun outing but it did feel too busy and people did seem to just be turning up and booking the spooky house etc on the day. Felt like the numbers could have been managed a bit better but the overall experience was well done.

It was good, lots of parking, suitable for push chair.
Both times I’ve been I’ve booked tickets in advance, queued for about 20 mins and then went straight in. It’s always quite busy when I’ve been before and can often be too cramped in the indoor space especially with children.
You can buy feed for £2 a pot and get plenty of food to feed the animals.

We visited a week ago as part of a birthday party and I was so impressed we came back the following week.
For the birthday party they had hired a room which over looked the geese. It was a good size and had all the basics you need. Bag of packed lunch given and the mum supplied cake. We had a free return pass.
It is £5 to enter and then £2 for a bucket of feed. The bucket has colour coded cups so you know what each animal should get. This is incredibly good fun. I should have got the husband his own bucket.
The animals and facilities are under cover so even in rain this is a great place to visit. The goats and rhea are outside, as well as the ducks and geese. Lovely walk. In the summer more animals are outside.
Inside we saw calves, piglets and lambs as well as rabbits and guinea pigs and lots more.
There is a huge covered sandpit. This in itself could keep kids quiet for a bit.
In addition to this there is a indoor play area set up as a tree house. It is a good size and suitable for all ages. My boys are 2 and 7 and would happily stay all day.
There is a gift shop and cafe. The cafe is great. Prices as you would expect. £1.20 for a juice carton £3 ish for cappachino, £3 ish for cake. The cake range is fantastic. Such good quality. The sausage rolls £3 are the best ever. I would recommend. There is also a range of lunch options and different diets are catered for.
Fab day out with younger ones.

This place is fantastic! Today was our first visit and we loved it.
Traveling 1hr to check this place out with 3 children (1 year old, 3 year old and a 14 year old) and so glad we did.
We started the day with the lamb feeding (£1 a bottle), moved around the farm with a couple of buckets of feed for the animals (£2 each) and enjoying the play area for the kids.
I wish to add that the entrance fee and extras were very reasonably priced as was the food in the cafe.
We have been to many places with the kids and I’ve got to mention that nowhere else provided as delicious and well priced food as Mini meadows farm. We actually had proper cooked food! It was great. The service and staff here were also fantastic and were so happy to hear of our wonderful experience showing genuine pride for their place of work which was wonderful to see.
This really is a fantastic place and we easily spent 3 and a half hours here. If we didn’t have to leave to miss the traffic we would have stayed an extra hour at least.

The best Christmas experience I’ve done. We come to Mini meadows for our Christmas experience every year as a tradition. We used to go elsewhere but as the years went by they cut costs with things yet made tickets more expensive. This is not the case with mini meadows, each year they go all out. This is THE real Santa. Definitely not an impersonator. This Santa memorises details about each child and makes it a unique and memorable moment for every child involved. Santa makes meeting him special and magical, for both kids and adults. The group sizes are kept small so it feels more personal. A huge shout out to our elf, Twiggy, who was full of energy and really connected with the children, singing songs with them and playing silly games. The effort this place goes to every year is top tier.
On visiting make sure to leave time to feed the animals and play in the soft play too, which are included in the ticket price and allow you to turn the experience into a fun family day.

This is the third year in a row I have visited the Christmas experience at mini meadows and I will continue to come yearly until my kids are physically too old!! Its brilliant, and has been every year. This year I brought my friend and her kids and they loved it as well. By far the best Christmas experience around and you should all be so proud. Your elves play the part perfectly, the set up, value for money, and individual messages Santa gives are just perfect. It truly is amazing.
Well done, thank you, and I'll see you again next year

As a regular visitor of West Lodge farm, we decided to have a change and visit Mini Meadows for the first time and it did not disappoint! There is so much to do here despite the fact the weather was not on our side, we still ended up staying 6 hours. There is a range of activities (some for a lil extra £) all of which we participated in, including feeding the animals (and bottle fed the lambs!), face painting, goat cuddling, holding the chicks and ducks, outdoor play area, sandpit and not to mention the indoor play area which was a real hit with all the kids. We also ate in the cafe for lunch and the whole group of us thought the food was lovely and good value for money. This is our new favourite farm and we will be back very soon! PS, please bring back annual memberships!

The only reason I didn’t give this 5 star is because we felt the farm was a little over priced. £25 for 2 adults and a one year old restricts the amount of times we would come.
I have to say though, it’s a lovely site with superb facilities. Everything is really nice - the cafe is great and reasonably priced.
The soft play is good and so is the play area for older kids.
There’s plenty to see on the farm, good range of animals and it’s easy to get around. Although you might struggle with a pram on the grass in winter.
There’s a nice shop with a range of plants and toys.
If we lived nearby we would visit regularly but couldn’t afford to do the farm often at that price.
It’s a great place for families and worth a visit

We took our children to the Halloween event at mini meadows. The Sal through was good and the children loved it. The younger ones (3&4) not as much. It was nicely planned. The pumpkin picking was disappointing as it they were on a a patch of grass and some were already a little tired looking. Overall the place was very busy and not many staff. The little play area was so busy with kids waiting to get on the couple of swings.
The pumpkin patch and Halloween walk stopped and closed for an hour as it was lunch break which we found bizzare as had to wait to go to the pumpkin patch.
The cafe was very busy and when we ordered food we were told 10-15mins for a jacket potato. It took 45mins for two jacket potatoes to arrive. They had forgotten it seemed when we chased them. The toilets and reception were also just very congested with no clear direction where to pay and queues for new comers. The gift shop isn’t very large and when there more than a handful of people you can’t get the pushchair around. We just felt very harassed and overwhelmed inside with the congestion of people and pushchairs. The favourite thing for all the kids were feeding the animals.

If we book a Christmas experience for 1600 can we enter the park earlier like at 1400 or only at time the experience is booked?

Hi
I didn't think they charged for under 2 years old?
Written 27 July 2018
I’m pretty sure my 2 year old was free to enter when I took him a couple of months ago....
What does the website say? Or maybe email the farm direct - I think the owner is called Ben.... to ask for clarification....
Written 27 July 2018
Is this mostly outdoors? And is it still worth going if it’s raining?
Written 13 July 2018
Yes mostly outdoors but they do have large play centre in doors as well as a cafe, also there are some animals indoors such as rabbits and gerbils that you can pet.

I am thinking of coming with my 4 grandchildren ages 4he is disabled and doesn't walk ,6 year old and 2 older boys 11 and 14 will it suit all age groups
Written 4 April 2018
My niece is 7 and she loved it-both the animals and the indoor play area. The 6 year old and the 4 year old will love it. It can get a bit muddy around the outdoor bits bu the inside areas are accessible. The toilets are alos very good! If the older children have an interest in animals, they will enjoy it (and they will also probably enjoy the indoor play area!). If they are children who prefer games/technology, they might not be too engaged. However, it is amazing how even older children who might not seem like they enjoy animals will become very excited when they actually get to touch and interact with them!

is it ok to bring our cocker spaniel on a lead?. He is very friendly, (no aggression at all) and lives at home with a house rabbit - the rabbit is the dominant one of the two! Kindest Regards Linda

I would suggest you leave your dog at home. With animals you never know if you are introducing disease or bugs into the farm environment. Would you take your dog to London Zoo? I certainly wouldn't. You also run the risk of frightening the petting animals - the mire I think about this, the more the answer is leave your dog at home. Hope this helps.
