A lovely peaceful walk, partly through woodland and partly in open country, with excellent waymarking and some great views.

You can park close to the start of 1 or more walks, of different lengths. Our route took about an hour. Most of it is easy walking, some hilly parts. It was very muddy in parts due to recent rain. The top of Beacon Hill has lovely views and unusual ant hills - quite harmless and some are 100 years old. One side of the hill has nice views, but it's spoilt by the constand sight and sound of the M40 motorway, but walk around to the other side and this is not an issue. We'll go again in the summer.…

Have been here many times and been amazed at the views across the countryside! Lots of free parking and a great location for dog walking.

Having up and down the M40 for many years - I have seen this area and always wondered how to enjoy it on foot, I was so pleased to find this trail, the views are so good, the red kites flying overhead are beautiful. I will certainly visit again and a warmer day.

There are a few places to park, one being a dedicated this is the one closest to the M40 Motorway with a walk around the top of the motorway cutting. My favourite is about two thirds of the way down this lane where there is room for you to pull your car in. May is the time that the bluebells are mind blowing, try to get there around 4th as this is the season start depending on the weather. I left it to the second week this year and was just lucky as the flowers were in their absolute prime. We were not disappointed by the incredible sea of Bluebells which just got better and better as we walked through the woodlands. Being the avid photographer it was great to go in the evening when we got the golden light stretching its glow across the flowers. The time here was around 7pm but it must be timed. This can be a place for a family walk and exploration for the children. Or for a wonderful walk in the beautiful countryside. Take wellies or shoes suitable depending in season. Oh yeas maybe flask and something to eat to make the experience better. Two hours with children or longer depending on interest levels. We were there for almost 4 hours.…
