I have mixed feelings about Ek Balam; by itself it would be really cool, but contrary to some other recent reviews, it is not the only ruin you can climb in the area. You can also climb the main structure at Coba which is much...More

This recently discovered ruin was about a 2 hour drive from our hotel. There is still lots more excavating to be done, but it is amazing. They even allowed visitors to climb the stairs on the big pyramid (this option will not last long).

This is great trip to go on and very interesting. You are still able to go into the ruins and climb the main temple, which is well worth doing. Great time to visit as they are still uncovering alot of new things. Enjoyable day out.
