We visited the Amish country side twice so far; each time, something new. The culture and lifestyle of the old country, preserved to this day. And the PRETZEL ... the MOST DELICIOUS one I have eaten in my entire life. The authenticity of the ingredients does make a difference. To those who are planning a trip... its so worth it... More

Visited amish village with my family in August 11, 2016. It was amazing to see how they live in their own environment and how they survive. They don't use modern technologies like iphone, laptop or any kind of device which we do. Amish men works outside taking care of their livestocks and Amish women play a significant role in the... I have been visiting the Amish Country for over twenty years, and visit multiple times each year! I look forward to my visits as this area is peaceful and the countryside is beautiful. While in the area, there are numerous Amish run quilt and craft shops, bake shops, and places to eat local PA Dutch cuisine.

My husband and I wanted to take a drive through Amish country, during our Thanksgiving vacation to PA. It was a little more congested and crowded (with standard homes/people) than we expected, but overall, was beautiful and a great drive. We saw many from the Amish community gathering for Thanksgiving and outside, playing volleyball, of all things! You feel like... More

The area is very much up to date but has the feel of the past. There are many places to see here, lots to do and so many places to eat. You can take a horse and buggy ride to the countryside to see the amish in their environment or you can visit the many shops with all the items... More

we stayed at the harvest drive family inn and it was perfectly situated in the middle of all sightseeing and restaurants. We stayed at the end of oct 2016 and the hotel was very nice, everyone was VERY nice and helpful. But take notice!! EVERYTHING closes at 8:00 pm so get everything in before that time! But believe me, you... More

We enjoyed our trip to Lancaster county so much. There is so much to see and do. We drove around the country side on Sunday afternoon and it was wonderful to see all the buggies, horses and the land. The young people were out playing games and taking walks. It was a beautiful site.

The tour was very dissapointing. Amish life and customs sederve much more than a number of rooms with random artifacts, with very shallow explanations. The so-called farm tour is a couple of stalls with various animals and two stores.

Really great visit to see people with very special belief in Christianity, you look over history of those people and how they reached Ohio.

Staying in Philadelphia, the tour was booked through Big Bus company, who pick-up passengers from respective hotels and drop off at 30th street station to board the Amtrak train for ~ 2 hours to Lancaster County. Pre-arranged taxi pick-up at destination and roughly a 20 mins drive to the 1st stop. Jacob's choice is a short film, with special effects,... More
