In December me and some friends decide to check this Kolesino waterfalls becouse we were very close to this place. On the way from Strumica to Kolesino there were a road signs directing you to the waterfalls. With car we drive until the asphalt end and we park the car and we decide to walk to the falls because it was December and we dont know in what condition will be the paved road to the waterfalls. Thet was a great decision we made because the nature was amazing. We walked maybe 500 metars. All the way tru the waterfalls you can relax and enjoy the 100 years old trees, crystal clear springs, birds etc. Also the locals made a rest areas. We arrive at the waterfalls and we were just amazed from the sight. The waterfall was like 20 meters high and excepth the water you are not hearing anything else. It was amazing. We took couple of pictures there and decide to climb on top of the waterfall. We climb and see that there was another smaller waterfall further in the mountain. We again proceed to climb and we found a third watterfall also smaller. It was just amazing trip. After half an hour exploring the vegetation and nature we decide to leave and we agree that we must come back here in some summer months where all the trees and vegetation will be green.

Just wonderful. The vegetation is so green and dense. And the falls... you should visit it. I have visited nearly all of the Strumica's falls and I don't really differ them, but honestly they are all awesome.

I went there first time in April 2014 and then I felt the need to come back the same year in June. The waterfall is simply magic, really tall surrounded by a nice forest. Before reaching the waterfall you walk a mountain road, but not hard to be made (you can also drive close to the waterfall place). If you go to Macedonia, you should really visit it.

The Kolesino Falls aren't one single dramatic plunge (that's more Smolare Falls, not far away), but a tumbling of the river over rocks, in streams that divide and join and divide and join again, all under a canopy of trees. There are good paths and even a viewing-platform, where you can stand and watch the water. Also a picnic area, with wooden tables, etc.
People go to Kolesino Falls in rather the same spirit as they go to Lake Matka, I think - to enjoy living nature, to re-charge their spiritual batteries, and to re-establish a sense of proportion. On blazing hot summer days the cool fresh air under the trees is a great delight, too.
The pathways are well maintained, but there are some steps, and people with mobility issues may need a little help.

One of the very beautiful waterfalls near Strumica, with stunning nature, surrounded with spots to sit down, make BBQ or have a picnic whole enjoying the full beauty of nature and fresh air.

Amazing nature, isolated and well preserved, popular among tourists and for picnik. There are a lot of benches, providing place to rest. Difficult to find, as not many signs are used to provide direction, but your GPS can help. I suggest to visit Smolare waterfall in the neighbourhood, what is a little bit nicer and more exciting (5star).

Not the largest waterfalls but cool on a hot summer day. Its signposted from the main road but after that you're on your own - but then finding your way is half the fun.
