This castle is already a delight to approach from several directions as you see it grow larger. Its mounting from the environment on a big rock that is all jaspis! Not expensive to visit, guided tours are in Italian only I am afraid. BUt you might find someone to translate. All the torturing equipment still ready to go in the... More

An interesting, multi-layered old castle which reflects the changing periods of history that passed through the town. It's worth the modest entrance fee to tour the entire complex.

Here for two weeks and loving every moment. The castle is pure delight. It nestles high up a hill and is beautiful. There's a festival today in Bardi with food, dancing etc. Will return again

Great historical venue with fantastic photo opportunities. FREE Car parking available in the town square with plenty of small shops and restaurants available in the small high street. When you come from a country who charges for parking if you car stalls it is delightful to find free parking across much of this region. NOTE FREE wi-fi offered outside the... More

This castle never ceases to amaze me. Set in the heart of the high Appenine mountains, this attraction has a lot to offer the visitor. The views across the Val Ceno river and the mountain peaks is fascinating. A family package is available at a very reasonable price and local Ristorante and Coffee shops will make your visit worthwhile. Check... More

Very nice castle nestling on the hill in the friendly small town of Bardi. I believe it's over 1000 years old. You must walk through the narrow roads nearby to appreciate the views of the castle and valleys beyond. Also visit the nearby bars, churches and restaurant's yo experience the truly friendly welcome given by the locals. We will definitely... More

We visited this castle and were surprised by the sheer size of it, and the interesting history. It is well worth a visit.

Bardi castle is a great place to visit if you're in the area. I've been visiting Bardi since I can remember and every summer holiday there has to include a trip to the castle. The castle itself is an impressive site - especially when viewed from the road below, into Bardi. The oldest houses in the village are situated at... More

Whilst listed here as the Fortezza Di Bardi the Brief Guide in English calls the Castello di Bardi. Either way it is an amazing fortress dominating both the town and the vallies below where two rivers converge. The visit is made all the more interesting by the displays in some of the rooms. The guide includes a brief history of... More
