Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's a very small museum, just one room to be exact but as long as you're already there, it's OK to take a look. It's basically a hall where the Republic of Yugoslavia was formed by Tito and his partisans during WWII. So there you can see some artifacts from all of the Yugoslav republics from that time. It's not impressive but still interesting especially if you're from this area.

In this building on November 29th, 1943 the "new" Yugoslavia was born (the previous or "old" one was a kingdom). That date later became the most important holiday in socialist Yugoslavia and a magnificent celebration was being performed every year in Belgrade to its tribute. Today in the museum we can still see some furniture and photos of that time. When you enter to the main hall you can somehow feel the atmosphere of 1943. Definitely worth a visit if you pass by.

The museum is located to the side of the waterfall, and close to the town's main car park and bus station. It summarises the beginnings of the uprisings against Nazi forces in World War 2 throughout the territory of Yugoslavia, and focuses on the 2nd AVNOJ Summit, held in the building in November 1943.
The entry price (2KM for adults, both June 2012 and Aug 2013) is reasonable, and there is adequate information in English inside for those who do not speak the local language. The museum is small, and should not take more than 20 minutes to visit. There is also a small bookshop.

This place holds a significant position in the post-WW2 Yugoslavia of Marshall Tito, but for foreign visitors like me, it is a poor show. Even though I am very interested in the politics and history of this region, even though I engaged a guide, I found the displays chaotic and totally lacking English translations. Frankly, as a tourist attraction, the museum is a waste of time.

Very small museum but since it is very close or directly by the waterfall in Jajce, you might visit it since you are there anyway. Some information about the ex-Yugoslavic republics but not enough stuff in English. Photos, uniforms and a statue of Tito, of course.

Yugoslavia, under the leadership of Marshall Tito, mounted the most coherent and effective European resistance movement during the Second World War. This museum does a credible job of documenting that struggle. - and does so in the very building where the political and organizational structure of a post-war Yugoslav state were discussed and ratified. Attention is given to Winston Churchill's role in assuring that Allied aid reached the partisan fighters.

Even though a lot of original artefacts were stolen from the Museum during the war in Bosnia, a lot has been recovered and AVNOJ museum has managed to keep the attention of visiting tourists with its historically important materials. If you're interested in history, generally speaking, then this is the right place for you, since you'll learn a lot here. You will also have the chance to see some very original and interesting artefacts. All in all, if you're in Jajce, don't miss this interesting museum.
