Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is one of the most beautiful and surprising places in Bosnia and Hercegovina. A huge waterfall next to the… bus station. We took a bus from Banja Luka to Jajce and the waterfall was literally a couple of minutes’ walk from the bus terminal. The waterfall is huge, the water has emerald colour. The town of Jajce is stunning, too - we spent a whole day there, just wandering around and admiring the beautiful Nature. There’re still some signs of the Balkan war - bullet holes in residential buildings… So sad to see, it was like a bittersweet experience however, the beauty of Nature, the most gorgeous road from Banja Luka to Jajce (it leads through a valley, next to rivers, lakes and mountains were so rewarding, it was a massive pleasure to visit that town.

there are 3 different viewpoints for Pliva Waterfalls

the first and most common is from the elevated road next to the TiOil gas station. there are a couple of souvenir stalls here. this option is free

the second option gets you up close and personal with the falls. fee is 8 BAM. you drive or walk down a small road next to the TiOil gas station . after passing the ticket booth, you will be at a wet concrete platform. you will encounter the splash from the falls here so be careful with your electronics.

but neither of the above two options give you the postcard view of Jacje that you see on the internet. for this third option, you need to drive or walk to this spot (44.33849492020553, 17.273043372384656). once you are there, there is a small trail on your left (when looking at the fortress) where you can take towards a hut. this is also the start point for the zipline adventure over the falls. this option is the best - best view and cost 0 BAM.

My wife and I got to see the Pliva Waterfall as part of a tour in the cities of Jajce and Travnik. We were lucky to be there in the beginning of autumn, so the surrounding foliage was already changing. Beautiful place to visit. A little bit of walking, but nothing too strenuous.

The most spectacular waterfall in Europe! Imagine having almost Niagara waterfalls in the middle of medieval town, the ancient Bosnian royal capital. Access to the platform from which one may watch the waterfall from under costs 2 KM - but it is worth paying. Go to the view point on the hill opposite it too.

Breathtaking place. You can feel how you are small in front of nature. This place is pearl of Jajce. And dear tourists, please pick up your trash. If trash is in your head, nature doesn't deseeve that.

We visited the waterfall in my husband’s mother’s hometown of Jajce. It is very scenic and pretty- a river filled with grass, large trees everywhere and then the large and majestic waterfall. It is a little bit of a hike down to walk to the viewing stations and the paths are mainly bark and with some concrete sidewalks (the viewing station is all concrete). Had I known what to expect, I wouldn’t have worn nice flats (I probably would have sneakers or other shoe that couldn’t get dirt in them and had a little more traction) and I wouldn’t have bothered to straighten my hair. Lol. Too wet and misty! ;-) There are some drink and snack booths (as well as souvenirs) along the road to get to the paths in case you need some refreshment.

Beautiful and breathtaking. Many people had told me it would be boring to visit it but I am glad I went there. It is super refreshing on a hot day. No, you cannot swim there but from the platform just next to the waterfalls you will for sure get wet. You can see how it forms a rainbow. Best place to view it is probably uphill near the road, there is a small wooden house. Then you can go down on foot to the platforms next to the waterfalls which you see on the pictures. It is worth the drive, it is very close to Travnik so you can visit both cities in one day and go back to Sarajevo. :)

One picture says million words. Just click on some pics of Jajce Waterfall on the internet and see for your self what this beautiful place has to offer!

It is not overrated to say, this is one among the most beautiful Waterfalls anywhere.
Pristine clean, greenish River Pliva water, falls 23 Meters down into a new chapter,- into the River Vrbas.

Waterfall can been seen from many locations:
from directly above on the right side of the fall, accessible trough a beautifully decorated Jajce Park,
or from the left side of the fall just close to the main bus station where most of the shots have been shot by many tourists and photographers,
from the foot of the fall, accessible trough another park starting from the main bus station,
or finally from the look out point just across the waterfall, accessible from the main Road leading from Banja Luka towards Travnik.

This beautiful attraction is free for everyone to see, it does not cost anything!
Just go and enjoy the beauty this world has to offer!
