Requested afternoon tea with a vegan option for 1. On the phone they said that was ok but then emailed saying the chef couldn’t do it??? I can get a vegan sandwich in any supermarket but a supposedly 5*chef can’t accommodate. Absolutely ridiculous. An Italian ‘afternoon tea’ including fries and a burger 🙄😡not really afternoon tea items and we wanted to eat in the hotel not the spa. Going elsewhere....

I really enjoyed my stay here, restaurants are lovely and the staff are very friendly - The rooms are great the only thing is I think they could be cleaned a little better. Especially the bathroom. The toilet and sink were not 100% clean and the bed was untidy. Other than this I really enjoyed my stay.

Good hotel, nice and clean room, the neighbourhood is amazing. You have 45 min access to the Spa for free if you are a guest, sauna doesn't work because of covid restrictions but they have hot tub outside. Reception staff is very friendly. Also car park is available for free. We dined at hotel restaurant - Marco Pierre, food was ok, it is not worth that kind of money, and cocktail presentation was poor and not how it should taste. (e.g.strawberry daiquire). Breakfast served in the same restaurant and it was nice and good choices. One thing what we didn't like it's the cleaners who disturbed us 2 times in the morning, they were coming in to see if we are gone but we were still sleeping and our check out time was 12 am. I think these things should be more organized as it was annoying. Otherwise good hotel.

Lovely hotel. Let down by poor rooms. Looks like a premier inn with different colours. Bathroom poor standard. Great power shower. Fan not working to take away steam. Probably why room so damp and paint falling away from celling. And mould. Booked deluxe family room. With views over into wales. Na. Car park view we got. Crap. Glad we went out all day. Bed crap. Hard as nails with springs pinging. So poor no sleep. Doors from other guests could hear too. Paper thin walls. And banging doors. Wont be going back. Shame as I was looking forward to being there. So let down. Realy rude girl in bar. Didn't care about you. Too busy looking though you to see tv behind us.

Considering this is a Doubletree by Hilton its been really disappointing. We can here for a nice weekend away without the kids. The hotel facilities are great and there's no fault there. However when you get in to the bedroom its like they've completely forgotten how to clean a bathroom which is a real shame. This hotel is suitable for anyone under 6ft tall. Its impossible to shower as its so low it also doesn't help that its a double ended bath which is not designed for a shower on the wall. Bed is also rock hard and poorly made. We ate in the Marco pierre restaurant downstairs and although the food was outstanding the service was beyond poor. No drinks delivered until the main course despite asking all throughout service. The drinks came and there was 1/4 of the cork in the glass which I understand happens but surely not from someone who works behind a bar? 2nd glass exactly the same. Overall I wont be visiting again as I can think of many hotels which will be more pleasant for a cheaper price... Shame.
