It is a peaceful and shady temple. There is a beautiful Lanna architecture. Less people go because it's far from the city.

What an amazing temple! Situated in the Mae Rim district outside the city of Chiang Mai and still under construction, this temple is definitely a must visit attraction.
Lanna style, the craftsmanship is superb and is on such a scale, that time is needed to take everything in. Even the view across the countryside, on a clear day, is particularly good.
The colours and the intricacy of the figures and decoration are absolutely amazing and certainly illustrate the skill of the designers and craftsmen and women.
What ever you do, don’t rush! Make sure camera batteries are fully charged because it’s difficult to know when to stop taking photos!
There’s ample car parking immediately in front of the temple and toilets not too far from the entrance. Admission is free although there are plenty of donation boxes.
One of the great attractions in Chiang Mai and highly recommended.

Located quite a distance away from the city and the touristic circuit, this stunning temple in Mae Rim is definitely a spot to visit and to see the beauty of northern Thai architecture, meticulous local handicrafts and Buddhist way of living. Beautiful place to appreciate the moment and reflect.

Unique structure, quiet and not crowded. Relaxing and a good place to meditate. Not so far from the city of Chiang Mai.

I spent about 5 hours at Wat Pa Dara Phirom. The temple is so beautiful with many areas that are interconnected with each other on this larger temple grounds. There is a monk school in the back corner of the temple grounds.
The elaborate but peaceful nature of the grounds become apparent as you enter the complex grounds. The entire complex feels inviting to just wander through the various areas of the Wat.
Enjoy

Wat Pa Daraphirom Temple is a must-visit if you go to Mae Rim, Chiang mai. The temple is exceptionally beautiful with impressive historical background. Each building in the temple is unique and distinctive. The temple is not as crowded as temples in Chiang Mai city. It is mostly quiet and serene. So, you can appreciate its artistic style and beauty peacefully. So, next time you go to Mae Rim, don't miss Wat Pa Daraphirom Temple.

Mostly put of the touristic circuit this is the most beautiful temple in and around Chiang Mai. It lays in Mae Rim some 20 km north of the city

A beautiful temple in serene peaceful surroundings, one of the hidden gems of Chiang Mai. It's not crowded and unlike many temples in Bangkok it has managed to preserve this true tranquility and spiritual beauty that you would want to feel in a temple.
It's situated in a very green area, you can take a stroll in the gardens and listen to the birds while navigating from one building to another - the complex consists of a few.
There is part that is closed for visitors, as monks do live there and you can see many of them on the grounds. It is important not to disturb them, to dress modestly and to take a piece of tranquility back home with you :)

I've heard about this temple for some time, and I'm so glad I finally visited it. Each building has its own unique flavour; they're all very different, but come together to produce an eclectic whole. Although there are many tourists, mostly Thai, there is still a feeling of peace here. There are outstanding sculptures everywhere and some of them are unusual, for example, nagas with antlers and mythical creatures giving birth, orally, to apsaras. It's definitely worth visiting the nearby Dara Phirom Palace too.

I can say this temple is one of the most beautiful temple with very classy style. Many temples now turn to be "fancy" place that you cannot compare with Wat Pa Daraphirom. Impressive in every single things in the temple. Additional is Free of charge as many temples in town of Chiangmai now put the price for entrance fee.
