Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have visited this farm every summer with my friends for a couple years! We absolutely adore this place and LOVEEEEEE the lavender lemonade. My best friends still keeps her bundle of lavender she picked herself in the entry of her home. It's become tradition to do here and pick our bundle of lavender.

I was saddened to hear that some nasty individuals who refused to wear masks have been posting false reviews trying to tear the small business down in the middle of a pandemic. As someone who has visited many times with many people, I can say this is absolutely false and have nothing but great things to say! I have also taken so many cute IG photos here :)

Stopped by this lovely little establishment. It was after harvest, so there wasn't much to see in the fields but the boutique was lovely with lots of creative products based upon the farm's lavender. Staff was very helpful in answering questions. Good COVID-19 management protocols -- we felt safe. We were even given a complimentary lavender plant when we checked out, as our order was > $100. Overall, a very pleasant and surprisingly interesting experience.

Thoughtful and considerate owners of a wonderful business. We first discovered PEC Lavender as B and B guests 12/13 years ago - they were just starting then. Haven't been for ages and finally got to visit again this weekend.
My, how they have done so well with such a great idea. Terrific products and great service. Best of luck for the future.

We drove all around Prince Edward County and PEC lavender was the highlight. Beautiful scenery, stunning lavender fields and the scent of lavender as soon as you walk in the shop. Wonderful! There is such a variety of products throughout, not just lavender but other essential oils such as peppermint. Because we’re flying home, I had to limit my purchases but I still managed to get a nice variety. If you like lavender, this should be on your list to visit.

It would be nice if the place was free. However, paying $5 entry fee per person for a small garden like this, especially when the lavenders are not even in full bloom is probably not worth it.

This was a huge disappointment. We got there and parking was a bit of a mess, followed my a $7 entrance fee and there was nothing to see. The fields have no lavender. Only a few little sprigs. No sea of purple as you would hope for. Everything was a money grab, expensive, boring. It took us longer to park than it did to see their boring offerings. I would skip this and go to TerraCello instead and have a pizza. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

I read somewhere that you pay $2 to get in, but was shocked to find out that they want $5 per head now. Between me and my wife, we paid $10 to see a lavender field about the size of half a football field. If you're expecting to see "a sea of wavy purple" - you definitely won't get the experience. They included a sampling of lavender infused lemonade, bite-size cookie and chocolate, though. We felt like we've been ripped off - not impressed at all with the experience. With the place crowded with other visitors, it's hard to get good pictures. I won't recommended this to any of our friends or family.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy the experience at our farm. It is hard to please everyone. We hope you found something else that pleased you in Prince Edward County.

If your driving by, its worth a stop for 5 minutes tops. Otherwise no need to go out of your way to see this. Just a small patch of lavender, smells really nice and if you hold your camera low enough to the ground, you can almost trick someone into thinking your in a real lavender farm.

Extremely rude, arrogant, nasty man. I went into door at the Prince Edward County Lavender Store at 723 Closson road in Hillier, Ontario to pick up some items.

I try very hard to not bother going to stores at all...Now more then ever I avoid it when I can...I grow my own vegetables, some fruits, buy meat in bulk amounts...Really don't require much...

However, today I had to be in Picton area...I drove past a Lavender Field Store & I knew someone who needed a lavender pillow...

I stopped went in the store identifying myself to the owner showing him my documents that I cannot wear a mask due to health risk to my life...

He was extremely nasty to me, saying go back outside, get out of the store.. I did & read the signs...I said I did read your signs before going in...

He stood outside as I read it aloud...I then explained the law to him...I also explained my right under the Ontario Human Rights Act & that under Section 2A2, I am not required to wear anything on my face because I have 3 Autoimmune Diseases...

If I wear a mask or shield anywhere near my face I became very over heated, can't possibly breath & could suffocate without even knowing it because it causes me to pass out.

He told me I couldn't buy anything inside his store & to leave his property...I stated clearly he was violating my rights & what he was saying was against the law...

QUESTION: How could he have avoided the Human Rights Commission Closing him down until they've finished investigating my complaint, if I choose to make a formal complaint???

ANSWER: He could have easily said I'll get the things you require & bring the debit machine to you...He never offered at all...

People who over heard his nasty attitude also got back into their cars & left...7 other people he lost sales of because he was rude, ignorant, & had no idea of the law...

People's lack of knowledge of covid doesn't surprise me at all anymore...I cannot be ignorant of the covid or even a cold issue...I absolutely must protect myself from every person on the planet "just in case"

Since I'm not a vindictive person, I'll pray for the nasty man instead....I guess I needed to tell you all about this, so you could all understand no matter where we go or what we do somebody is going to be so nasty it makes you hurt, however, within minutes somebody will be so kind to you that your instantly restored in faith by their kindness...

Thanks to those wonderful 7 other folks who also left & as luck would have it we all drove to a much better, friendly lavender field that had a beautiful store...I bought much there... It was friendly & happy...

I know karma will bite him...

What a delight for the eyes and nose; gorgeous fields of lavender. Be sure to contact them in advance to see when the peak growing season is as it would be best before the lavender is harvested. Everyone we came in contact with, including Sky the welcome dog, were delightful. There was supposed to be a $3.00 p/p charge for the tour but since it wasn't busy we were advised to wander around on our own to see the harvesting and making of lavender oil. There is a lovely gift shop selling everything lavender. Definitely worth the drive.
