The venue itself was nothing to notice from the outside but the interior was lovely. I look... More

We sampled their pinot noir and the sparkling cider. Both were served at the correct temperature in a great rustic setting. Well worth the price. Limited quantities of the pinot noir that sells out quickly.

The winery may be expensive to some ($50 a bottle), but you get what you paid for. The Old Third specializes in Pinot Noir and it shows. There is a tasting fee, but it is waived when you buy a bottle. There is also crepes available if you would like a snack.

Visited on a Wednesday...when we got there, the winery was closed (when we checked the wine map, we discovered that the winery is closed Tuesday and Wednesday). My buddy phoned the "winery", one of the owners answered, and agreed to open up just for us. Impressed.... Excellent pinot, worth the price ($45). Also a pretty good cab franc, albeit I... More

We stopped here by chance but I'm so glad we did. The aesthetics are beautiful and the wine is superb. This was one of the first stops we made, but my boyfriend and I kept thinking about their pinot and how good it was! - Definitely worth the stop!

We had a great tasting at the old third ... pretty sure this was the best pinot noir we have tried in the county! The servers were warm, friendly and informative too. We'll be buying more from them in the future!

The old 3rd specializes in Pinot Noir, so, they have to be good. I am happy to report they are exceptional.

We booked barrel tasting through Visa Infinite program but got so much more! We loved meeting the winemaker and learning about his passion for wine and food (hope that one day soon we can taste his baguettes too). We were absolutely thrilled to have beautifully prepared crepes that happened to be served that day. We enjoyed our surprise lunch in... More

The Old Third is yet another example of the exceptional Pinot Noir coming from Prince Edward County. The winery and tasting room are housed in a beautiful 1860's barn that has been lovingly restored and dramatically decorated by the current owners. The Pinot here may be a little fuller than some of the others being produced in the Hillier area... More

Their pinot noir is the only wine they sell, but it is the best pinot noir in PEC. Visit this quaint little winery, sample the wine (and the sparkling cider!) and buy a bottle. You will not be disappointed! It's very, very good.
