We went twice last summer and spent a couple of hours in the late afternoon/early evening. The waves were so much fun (keep an eye on warnings re the undertow) and the beach was quiet with a nice combination of sand and smaller rocks to explore. It's a beautiful spot on Lake Ontario!

I'm not sure I want to share this wonderful beach with others, it is the little sister to Sandbanks provincial park but deserves to be noticed! A long strip of white sand - for us huge waves and warm water! There 5 other people on the beach and it felt like a private beach with lots of gorgeous sand and... More

This beach is really stunning. It wasn't too busy while we were there and the water was very clean and warm. Our children loved it there.....

It was a hot day, but still lots of parking and beach space for everyone. It has very limited shade, so people were crowding under tiny trees, or else brought their own sun tents. It is $14.50 per car to enter, a great deal for a day of fun at the beach.

Price tag to park is a bit steep, but if it's just one or two people, park on the street outside and walk in for $2pp. Beach was great, shallow water with baby waves, warm, sand....really it's just like being back home in our local beach, perfect for kids, and couples. We stayed right at entrance so less people, if... More

If you like toilets that are stinky holes in the ground, this is the place for you. In case you were wondering, it gets even worse in the heat :(

Early Sunday morning drive - checking out Provincial Parks with our Summer Park pass. This is a small, day-use park with a nice beach and some shaded picnic areas. There were some early-birds who staked out some great spots to spend the day. Very easy to access your vehicle while using the beach.

We moved to the area last fall and love the fact we have 3 great provincial parks here (Sandbanks, Presqu'ile & North Beach). While North Beach is day use only it's a great alternative to the other two. Similar to Sandbanks beaches but less crowded. Easy, close parking with a snack bar by the beach. Options to swim in Lake... More

North Beach Provincial Park is great for those people who want to go to a beach but don't want the crowds that Sandbanks has to offer. Only downside was that it cost $14.50 to get into the beach.

The park is just a bit west of Wellington and is kind of a scaled down Sandbanks, but without the CROWDS. You can choose the beach on the open lake or on the inland lake / lagoon side. There are small dunes here as well.
