Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hiked as group of Univeristy friends back in 1990-91 excellent experience but hike to lake is a few km with elevation changing between 3000-3500 feet, options for jeep and horses also existed, love the night spent at lake and down below on naran, things must be different now

Visited Saif-ul-Muluk Lake in August 2022. I was staying in Naran and rented a jeep to the lake, which cost about 4000pkr for a round trip staying there for 1.5 hours.
The journey up to the lake was thrilling and stunning as it took us about 45 minutes to get there.
The mountains, clouds and the lake itself is just stunning.

We visited this beautiful lake several times with our clients. It is in Naran, the jeep trrack of this beautiful lake is very jumpy & bumpy. It takes mear about 3 hours for a round trip including one hour on lake.
There is a lagendery story of Persian Prince Saifalmalook & a Fairy Badi-ul-jamal. The famous sufi saint Mian Mohammad Baksh has also written a book on Saifalmalook, who is buried in Azad Kashmir.
There are also found brown trout fish in the lake, the maximum big fish which was captured from the lake was 7 kg to 8 kg. Here you can also do horse riding and boating. If there is a ice you can also take ice sliding which is very nice and funny. According to my suggestion pregnant woman should avoid to go there due to jeep track. Highly recommended!

Visited the jheel, the place was beautiful. The road/mountain through which you will go there is very bad. Old age people have difficulty to travel on the road.

Hi Usman,
If you are interested in seeing saiful mulook in the month of November then you would need to stay in Naran. Problems you might face are unavailability of hotels due to off season, bad weather due to rainfall and snow as a result of which authorities closed the road leading to Naran. So you need to check one of these forums again regarding accessibility to Naran during your planned dates. Naran is safe it's just the absence of street lights in some spots make it look scary but that's where you are going to see milkyway. When I went in August last year, it was not allowed to stay near the lake after sunset. There are several tourists there and locals respect the tourists so you'll feel safe. You don't need a guide in Naran, just need a good driver who could help you with whatever you need. Hope it helps, I think it's all up to you that how much are you willing to take the risk. All the best and have a wonderful trip.
