What an interesting place this is with the Ermitage worked into the cliffs. Walking is not our forte but we drove through the Gorge and were treated to wonderful views. Fortunately, we had very clear and sunny weather and the sandwich from the little café...More

We were taken here by a local in his VW van. The road is very twisty with large overhangs, with very few passing places. The cliff formations are incredible, with excellent examples of wind and water erosion. (There are some very strong winds down the...More

This is a venue that you actually have to visit in order to get the full impression of it. We viewed it from a distance and have only our pictures to tell us what's there. After reading the reviews of people who actually went there,...More

We go back again and again. The l'hermitage is a very sacred place to meditate and sit quietly - a simple but exquisite chapel in a cave with amazing wooden sculptures; The gorge is inspiring to walk through and through the gorge there are places...More

We were taken down this gorge 'road' by a 'local' - who had a grin on his face the whole distance. It is about 2 miles of literally cliff-hanging road, with no passing places - at least in summer they do arrange for one-way-traffic, which...More

There are 2 paths to the grotto, a beautiful meandering path through the trees and along the road down some steep steps with a handrail which helps. The path through the trees is steep in parts with some loose rocks. If your unsteady on your...More

Nice scenic ride with interesting cave-church at the end. We stopped few times during the ride, and walked to admire the view. There are few places to do so along the way. One-direction regulations are no longer the case. Worth the extra driving time to...More

If you want to spend some time away from rutin and feel existence of moment, hermitage chapel is worth a visit. The cliffs and the river is amazing not just to see, but to go for hike along the river.
