- The temple, atleast on the day we visited, had quite a bit of crowd. It probably took about 45 minutes in the queue to reach the main deity of the temple. - The statue of the main deity - Adi Ranga is massive, in a sleeping pose. - Temple Timings: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm –... More

An ancient temple (6th century AD) of Chola architecture dedicated to Sri Ranganatha (Vishnu in a slumbering pose) situated on the first of the three river islands of Kaveri. Good to see the care taken to white wash the gopuram and the interiors. The beautiful idol of reclining Lord is a feast to the eyes. The temple is maintained very... More

1 hr ride from Mysore and 3hrs 30 mins from Bangalore. It has idols of almost all Hindu lords. It has a huge monolithic sculpture of lord Vishnu inside. One can offer pujas with nominal cost.

Very holy ambience and felt very emotional when heard about the history of the temple and how long back it dates to.

If you are travelling on weekends do be prepared for long queues and probably you will finish Darshan in about 30 minutes , on non weekend days there will be no... More

A beautiful historical nicely built and maintained Hindu temple of Lord Vishnu lying on sheshnag luxmiji towards his feet. Rare Darshana of feet. Many other deities in the Parikrama. Peaceful neat and clean where Tulsi leaves and flowers are main offerings.

Temple takes you through history and architecture of the place . Management needs to be improved as the temple does require special treatment. Must visit if you are passing by Bangalore-Mysore highway . Very close to main road .
