Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This gorgeous temple is well worth the extra drive of about 20-30 minutes from Kuala Selangor. I didn't manage to enter as we arrived earlier than temple hours (sometime in the morning then 5pm) but had seen pictures on the interior. The exterior is already well worth it. The carvings are intricate and we rarely see Indian temples which are multi-hued. The statues are unique and have such detail. I teach music so I was happy to also see statues playing instruments.
It's location on a little hill also makes for superb photos.

Not crowded because it's far from the main KL. It wasn't part of my itinerary but my guide dropped by since we have extra time. My guide toured me around inside checking out the intricate details on the walls. I offered a donation and they put something on my forehead. It was a nice temple as I was able to enjoy the place without the noise of crowd.

We came at night, when the spotlight highlighted the intricacies of the carvings with the dark sky as the backdrop. With the silence, we entered the interior of the temple. Just by taking one round, you can feel no noise, by noise I mean no complicated color, no complicated structure. The God is the only thing that catches your eye. With the high walls surrounding you, it feels very protected.
Many other things can't be described by words.
Tips:
1. Come after your firefly park visit. Just few minutes drive.
2. Visit at night, when sun is totally down.
3. No photography and do dress appropriately. Those with short sleeves will be given a cloth to cover.

We visited this temple at 7pm, kind of a perfect timing as the ceremony just began, with the sacred cows slowly stepping in the temple. The temple is one of the most amazing structure in Kuala Lumpur and selangor state. It’s surprise to see such a well maintained structure in a small town like kuala selangor. Suitable for tourists visiting sekinchan as it’s around 40 minutes from there. A must see attraction!

It is an Indian temple in Kuala Selangor. We went there when we went to trip to Kuala Selangor.
Spend some time there, you will find peace there. Also they provide prasadam (free vegetarian lunch).

Our guide included this on a tour to Kuala Selangor, and it turned out to be an excellent place to visit. The temple was built based on Hindu Architecture and the intricacies of the artwork and friezes are just amazing.
We observed a ceremony taking place, though we could not get too close. It's a holy site and one must be sure to observe rules about photography, dress and appropriate behavior.

A beautiful temple. No camera or photograph allowed inside temple area but you are free to take the exterior of the temple. Most beautiful during sunrise or sunset! Wear appropriately. Pay a visit to nearby kelip2 and Bukit Melawati.

Excellent place to visit in Kuala Selangor. The temple has been build based on the Hindu Architect of building a temple and all the Standard Operating Procedure has been followed to build the temple.
The science of this temple and the significance of the design/architecture can be read in the srishaktidhevasthanam webpage. Please read it before going to the temple so that every inch of the temple can be understood better and the science behind it.
If you happen to go the temple, please mediate (observe silence) for a moment and you can feel the high spiritual energy in the temple.
The architect and carving are mesmerizing. The temple does not allow people to take a picture inside the temple. And you also need to wear proper attire when visiting the temple. No short pant. If you wear short pants, they will provide you with clothes to cover.

This is one of the few hindu temples around the Kuala Lumpur area which is not painted in sour candy colours. Lovely terracotta look, those are not carvings, but concrete/plaster statues. Beautiful outside and inside, where one cannot take pictures. In the tropical Malaysian weather, if you're wearing shorts, you may be required to wrap a free-to-wear sarong-type of skirt in order to cover some skin showing from your legs in order to go inside. Meanwhile some of the local guys are not wearing shirts and have their boobs out for all the deities to see. Make sure you figure the opening times before planning your trip, because they are unusual and it makes a lot of visitors quite disappointed when they stop to see it and the doors open only at 4:30 PM. It is REALLY worthwhile to go inside when it is opened - late afternoon. I strongly recommend you come in at dusk, when the lights will be switched on and the temple gets a whole new level of depth. Gorgeous place.
