A truly wonderful 5 days in the Komodo National Park aboard Leyla. Sebastian and Laura organised everything in advance perfectly, being very patient with us when deciding the right boat and itinerary for our family of four.
Once aboard, the crew were amazing - ensuring we were always not far from a fresh smoothie, a wonderful meal or a post-dive homemade snack.
Dodi was a fabulous cruise director and dove master, and alongside Chris and the rest of the team worked really hard to make our trip one to always remember: Komodo dragons, swimming with over 50 manta rays, sharks, turtles, hiking, dinners on deserted beaches and so many more amazing experiences.
Highly recommend both the Leyla and Barefoot Yachts.

We been cruising Raja Ampat on Anne Bonny Yacht with a group of friends - great crew, boat, food and overall experience.
Smooth booking process with Barefoot Yachts - assisting with the all preparation and finer details of the voyage.
Highly Recommend!

Where to begin my review? This is not hyperbole when I say my voyage on the Samara II was the most incredible week of my life. The crew, boat, and scenery were unbelievable. This was my first time in Asia and I’ll admit I was somewhat worried about the confined living quarters & whether or not the amenities would live up to the photos. Needless to say they did and then some. The second my group got onboard and we were able to see the boat, and had our initial discussion with the crew - I knew I was in good hands.
The crew made the entire trip so special. Luki & Yusen were our ‘fun’ leaders, and they kept a perfect balance of activity and leisure. We did short hikes/strolls through the park, plenty of snorkeling, and some sandy beach soccer! Rusman was our chef and his ability to cook for 10-people in the space he did was nothing short of amazing! All of our meals were delicious. There was very little repeat meals, and no shortage of delicious treats. Oskar was our bartender, so naturally he was one of our favorites! The man makes a delicious whiskey sour & mojito. The rest of the crew (Sandro, Alfons, Stefan, Buyong) were all awesome at their roles/jobs on the boat.
I would recommend spending time aboard the Samara II to anyone looking for one of the greatest trips of your life.

Did the Central- and North cruise in Raja Ampat on Nataraja (9 days).
Awesome experience from A to Z. Unforgettable days with an outstanding crew and tour director (Juvens). Couldn't be better. Quality of food and co-travellers were great too. And not to forget busy bee Desry who was everywhere to make us feel even more comfortable. Thanks a ton, everyone, for being part of this journey and to have made it to one we will always remember. The underwater world was astonishing (we are snorkelers) but also the nature above the surface was phenomenal!
100 points out of 100!
Big hug from Barbara & the "Süsse Puppe" from Switzerland

There is no better vacation/trip to take. Why sit in a hotel when Indonesia has over 17,000 islands to explore by boat. Throw in an amazing and knowledge crew, chef, dive guide and you don’t need anything else. This is truly an unforgettable trip that you need to experience at least once. The crew kept our 3 kids engaged and busy with different activities throughout the day taking us snorkeling, diving, exploring remote beaches away from the crowds.

Just finished a 3 night trip from Labuan Bajo to Komodo aboard the Samara II. All superlatives to report. Outstandingly attentive Indonesian crew with functional English. Food was top notch. Full bar. Clean water. Comfortable decks with shade and sun as desired. Clean bathrooms with western style bidets, hot showers. Cool and comfortable quarters. There were 6 in our group with plenty of room for more. We stopped at truly epic snorkeling sites and enjoyed dozens of turtles, manta rays, dolphin, beautiful coral and fish. Isolated beaches with that beautiful blue green water. Stopped to see the Komodo dragons and had time to watch the flying foxes of Kalong. Will do again.

End of March 2022 I started a 12 day Liveaboard on "Jakare" with a friend of mine from Misool to Triton Bay and it was one of the most stunning trips I ve done so far!
As both my friend and I have travelled in Indonesia alot, after discovering Raja Ampat 2018 our dream was for already 4 years to do a Liveaboard around Misool.
So when there was the offer to go to Misool and even all the way to Triton Bay, West Papua, it was exactely what we were looking for!
And we didn´t regret it!!!
The trip was a great adventure to deserted and fantastic dive spots (e.g. diving with whale sharks!), deserted beaches and special islands (e.g. "Bat island"-a little island inhabited by hundreds and hundreds of bats) and a great mix of relaxing, sports and exploration (e.g. kayaking to secluded lagoons, SUP, motorboat tours to crocodile lagoon, swimming with baby sharks ...)
We had a wonderful crew who did everything possible to make the trip so special for us at it was. Chef Satria cooked incredible meals for us and really every wish was taken care of. I couldnt believe how he performed magic in serving the most delicious meals out of the relatively small yacht kitchen!!
Our great captain, our dive masters and all of the rest of the wonderful, helpful and motivated crew drove us to stunning diving spots, waterfalls and on land trips, like e.g. the beautiful heart shape lagoon of Misool, dream beaches with turquoise water and white sand in the middle of nowhere, got us fresh coconuts directly off the palm trees (thanks to Chip and Sam!!) and organised a wonderful beach party for us on our last day. A very special thanks as well to our Cruise director Audrey. I admired with how much humor, love and enthusiasm she cared for everybody on board, fullfilled every wish possible, and radiated calm, patience, empathy and alot of FUN to her crew and passengers.
"Jakare" is a gorgeous yacht with beautiful and tasteful interior and exterior design and still it is a cosy and warm atmosphere on board. Watching the beautiful sunsets with a sundowner in your hand in a patch of earth which hardly sees any humans is an experience I will NEVER forget!!!

This trip was long overdue with the pandemic, but was definitely worth the wait. From the entire crew, especially Hendro who always knew when I needed a drink :), to Stoner who was always smiling, helpful and knew exactly when we needed time alone to relax - what a great team.
The journey itself through Komodo is truly life changing - the sheer beauty of the islands is beyond your expectations. I was truly speechless for almost the entire duration of the journey.
Thank you to everyone for the impeccable service, big compliments to the chef as every single meal was delicious (there was always more than requested to ensure I wasn’t hungry!). Most importantly - imprinting a new passion for the environment and ocean conservation after seeing how much marine life and natural beauty just this area has, nevermind the rest of this amazing world.
Highly recommend, you need to take this journey at least once in your lifetime - and on the Magia 2, was just phenomenal. Thank you all 🙏

My friend and I went on a diving cruise trip from Misool to Triton Bay with stunning Jakare Liveaboard organized by Barefoot Yachts. I have to say we were more than satisfied by the perfect organization of the hole trip! My friend had to enter from Germany first and as it was still difficult to travel due to Covid everything was a bit unpredictable. But we were in best hands with Barefoot. As they were so helpful in all cases everything went pretty smooth. Jakare is a beautiful Phinisi - very spacious with stylish interior and comfortable rooms that let you feel home immediately.
The hole trip was a perfect mixture of epic diving, amazing land trips and fun time on deck! Definitely some highlights to mention were swimming with baby blacktips, trips to stunning lagoons and waterfalls, diving with whale sharks, the everyday sundowners on the huge sundeck, kayaking to lonely beaches in crystal clear water and watching the milky way at night. The Chef Satria spoiled us every day with a 5 star international cuisine. Cruise Director Audrey did a fantastic job! She was always listening to everybody´s wishes and customized our itinerary daily to that. And with their great crew on top we just had the best time ever! This was not my last trip with Jakare - I will come back for sure! Big thank you to everyone :)

Through Barefoot we had an amazing liveaboard experience on the Duyung Baru in Komodo National Park!
Thanks to covid, we had to cancel and delay the trip multiple times and change the when and where, but throughout Sebastian stayed in contact and helped us find the right boat and tailor the trip for us.
We wouldn't have found such a great boat without the Barefoot team!

A group of friends are thinking of a charter in Raja Ampat on the phinisi, Aboya through Barefoot Cruising Indonesia. Is there anyone who can advise on the company and this boat as well as best spots in Raja Ampat? We will be snorkelling only but interested I. Some walks and bird life too.
