Wow. I am so glad we made it this wine estate. I was under the assumption they were going to be really pretentious. In fact I crossed it off my list of places to visit whilst in Kent, but how wrong I was! I’m so glad we decided to just give it a try. We arrived an hour before closing and were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming manner. Nothing was a problem. We had a brilliant informative wine tasting. Spoke to the manager who gave us some very interesting info. The wines are gorgeous. Didn’t think it was possible for me to say this about English wines. We walked away with a couple of bottles and a big smile on our faces. The owner is South African from Stellenbosch and you can tell by the way the wine tasting is conducted. Each wine is explained in depth and you’re then left to finish each sample before another is brought to your table. This is how it’s done in SA and it works. Wine tastings are free also with no pressure to buy. But you will and you should, because they are worth it. We’ll be back. Just hope they can serve some food options or even a few breadsticks with the wine, just to soak it up a bit.

A brilliant, friendly and informative tour with staff that make you feel at home and welcome, no matter on your background or knowledge on wine. I conversed with Dan over email and the tour was given by Matt! Both were wonderful and I couldn't recommend the tour, tasting experience, winery and of course the wine, enough! If anyone has access needs, speak to Dan the Cellar Door Manager and he would be more than happy to accommodate you and your group and make you feel welcome! Great Covid-19 protocol in place with outside covered seating and plenty of space between the tables and socially distanced tours, with the tour guide always ensuring everyone is comfortable :) Clean toilets and good systems to ensure social distancing is kept when using these, with multiple sanitiser points.

This was an unexpected bonus one afternoon. We saw the vineyard as we passed by and popped in. We went on the self directed tour and came back to sample our 3 wines. Our host was absolutely superb and explained about the winery and the types of wine they produce. The sparkling wines were excellent, so much so i bought 3 bottles. There is no pressure to buy which makes a really pleasant change. Would recommend

We wanted to visit a vineyard and this one was recommended to us, so we planned to take a short self-directed tour. Upon arrival, there appeared to be a large group of guests about to go on a tour - the host, despite being self-admittedly very busy that day, took time to explain where everything was and how to go about the tour and explained the extra measures they had in place due to COVID-19 - they had gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of their guests and their product. The vineyard was a beautiful place to walk around, with rolling hills and gnarled trees and the most beautiful vines and teeny tiny grapes. At the end of our walk we were offered a tasting, which was really informative and the lady who talked us through the wines was clearly very experienced and passionate about the wines. We came away with a few bottles and smiles on our faces.

Lovely self directed walk around the vineyard on a sunny yet windy day. Followed by some wine tasting (and purchasing). An excellent way to spend a few hours. Very friendly staff.
